Conference Impacts

As noted in many articles, the MAC is considered the worst conference in FBS for Football, and ranked between 18 - 20 in Basketball.

Is this really the goal of the SUNY system, for their flagship institution to be aligned with such mediocity, yet position the school academically in the Top 50 Public Universities and an AAU member.

Would really like to hear the leadership long term goals on academic and athletic alignment, as not many schools are so disconnect academically and athletically.

Apparently yes. In fact we may be looking at FCS for football at some point if we can't come up with an NIL program.

UB Bulls will never be FCS again not with the amount of facilities investment that has been made at UB. FCS is a half side of a football stadium Albany Great Danes. It would cost UB a fortune to play in the FCS football playoffs alone. Montana and North and South Dakota are very expensive airplane trips you aren’t busing for that like the MAC. You want to pay First Round South Dakota second round North Dakota and third round Montana in a potential FCS playoff tournament for UB Bulls football? That FCS playoffs isn’t like playing one FBS bowl game with a easier cheaper airplane flights. Too many UB alums spout off about FCS. FCS is very expensive that is one of the many reasons why a lot of FCS schools are leaving it for the FBS in my opinion. UB Horns Up! Go Bulls! Let’s Go Buffalo
