They didn't play 6 games in 12 days mid season, riding a bus 5 hours between games either.

Yep, they showed the highlights of those. German at the buzzer and big guy rolling to the basket open for the layup, followed by the court rushing. If the crowd rushed today, might have 200 people rushing based off the camera angles. Globetrotters' kenpom took big hits on those losses!

Team is up at half, yet 90% negative posts. I'm not sure why the game is even played, our opponent is #299. We should just be given the win automatically. It's like globetrotters vs generals.

Ohio wasn't a really big team, more quickness and 5 out sets, so Gaba and Wilson aren't the best to match up with on the perimeter (my thought anyway). They will be needed vs Toledo if we see them again.

I think any is realistic, but 3+ is certainly an improved path. Akron has been stumbling a bit. While they aren't the same as a Ball St or other bottom group-er, they aren't Gonzaga. Just need to keep playing well and stacking wins. If UB closes at 3-1, beating kent but losing to someone else and kent wins all but UB, both teams have 5 losses but UB has one less win. We'd get 4 even though we beat them twice based on win %, correct? If that happens, that's a very poor move by the league to affect seeding like that by not playing a game, especially with UB beating Kent twice (in this scenario).

Since there's the back and forth going on, myself included, let's band together and try to actually help the programs. In honor of board member UB85 (may he rest in peace) who tried to drum up funds for the programs in the past, let's do some of ut now. If the women or men get to 20 regular season wins, I'll donate $100 to their program. Get to the semi's in Cleveland, an additional $250. Win the MAC, an additional $250 on top of that. Win an NCAA game, $1k on top for each win. Is anyone with me on this, for these numbers or even a % of them? If they both win and get 20 wins, that's $600 to each team from me. Every bit helps. Who's in?

Big rematch tonight at home. Hopefully a big crowd against a team that has been a tough one in recent years. Time to avenge the earlier loss, much like the men's team did last night. This team is outstanding and always a fun watch. Here's to hoping they keep it rolling and push towards locking up that 2 seed!

I'm glad we won't see them again, although I'd take it if we did, because then one of the top seeds would've been knocked off by them! That team always shows a lot of pride. Agreed, that's probably not a good move. We won't see miami again most likely, but still doesn't seem right.
