Butler led E Michigan 34 - 26 at half, then the roof caved in. Final 94- 55. Bulls have to keep up the intensity, and hopefully hit a couple 3s.

It’s all voodoo. No way is this team better than only 2 DI teams. I don’t know how many wins the Bulls will get, but I expect them to learn, improve, and compete in every game. Go Bulls!

Could NIL be ruled unconstitutional because of the disparity in compensation? Title IX.

I’m curious to know how much the posters would be willing to pony up for UB NIL. I’ll go first: $ZERO

Here is a breakdown of the 4 biggest NIL deals in college football right now, led by Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders.
- 1) Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders - $4.8 Million. ...
- 2) Texas QB Arch Manning - $2.8 Million. ...
- 3) USC QB Caleb Williams - $2.7 Million. ...
- 4) Colorado WR/CB Travis Hunter - $2.3 Million.
If Khalil Mack was a high school senior today, would he still opt for Buffalo? How long would he stay? The top professional athletes earn more than their coaches. When will the top college athletes earn more than their coaches? I can’t wait for that.

Canisius dropped football (and 5 other sports) in 2002. Since then Canisius has made 0 men's basketball NCAA tournament appearances, 0 NIT appearances, 1 NCAA women's basketball appearance, 0 WNIT appearances, 2 NCAA men's hockey tournament appearances.
For the record, Canisius has a baseball and a softball program. Both teams have competed in the NCAA playoffs, most recently in 2022.

I’ve got a hunch the Bulls can win this game. Law of averages, maybe.

One is talked about like a king on here, one was talked about like a chump at every turn. Again, while nowhere near Nate (neither are close), the team was respectable every year. If last year's team played the soft schedule of this year's team, they'd have been close to 20 wins. Instead, they played Colgate, JMU, Uconn, Drake, Tulane, WVU, Michigan State.
We can compare things in all sorts of ways, but the days of top 25 are looking to be long gone, never to return. Previously, we were at least able to watch the game without desiring putting on a brown paper bag over our faces. Sadly, football is looking that way too, 14-22 in the last 3 years.
Plus George Mason. I’m happy UB played teams of that caliber. They ought to do that every year, regardless. As for today’s fiasco: “Mama said there'll be days like this”.

I doubt that ticket prices are deterring attendance at UB sporting events. We had season ticket center court b-ball seats about 10 rows from the walk-around which came to about $7.50 per game. That’s not including the women’s games. But if that kind of expense is too much, there are high school games that provide entertainment for even less 💰. I wonder what tickets cost at Texas A&M. It just fired the football coach but will pay him $75 million with no contingencies. Crazy…or sickening? Maybe both.

Chuck Martin bears a close resemblance to Tod Kowalczyk.

He obviously wants to test himself against the best in a program that has a deep culture of excellence.

US News put us at 76
The US News rank is higher than last year’s (I think). But it only compares UB with other National universities. The WSJ rank includes all colleges and universities, including schools likes Amherst, or Williams and other so called National Liberal Arts Colleges, as well as Regional Universities.
-
I don’t believe this

The University at Buffalo is ranked 121 in the Wall Street Journal’s list of the top 400 colleges and universities in the US. The only other school from WNY that received a rank is Daemen University. In the MAC, every school is listed except for Akron and Kent State.

Who are you referring to? Their HC is from Abilene Christian. Did the win a D2 National Championship before moving up?
Texas Western beat Kentucky in 1966 for the DI championship in the NCAAs. Texas Western is now named UTEP.

Instead of telling everyone to ignore them, can we please just put a disclaimer on all of their posts that says, "NOTE: This poster has no affiliation with UB and received the highest of educations from Canisius College". That way anyone lurking won't think our fans are complete idiots.
With apologies to the Bard, that poster is “an ignoramus, who spins his views, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.” Please don’t lump us (CC grads) all together.

The early line was o/u 40 I believe. Depends if we split off into a new thread when we actually get a guy. If not, OVER. 😂

I could definitely enjoy this, especially if it comes with winning games.
I don’t care how they do it, as long as it’s fair and above board. “Just win, baby”…as Al Davis said.

Hiring a D2 guy, even one with his record, looks bad to some observers. Like hiring the winningest D3 football coach.
John Beilein coached high school, junior college, D3, D1 low mid major, D1 high mid major, then at 2 P5s. He was “the man” at every spot. He was never an assistant. McCollum - I’d rather he get a shot here than some retread or a guy who’s just been an assistant.
-
Any chance that Zid could team up with Takal Molson in 23-24? That would be a coach’s dream. One thing’s for sure: there would never be any shot clock violations.

Not sure how reliable, but Pitino’s salary at St John’s is $20 mil for 6 years. Why didn’t Allnut get this brilliant guy? Even if he only stayed for 3 or 4 years…LMAO!

Your shot might be off, but defensive intensity should be there 40 minutes every game. No excuses
