Isn’t it ironic that Oats’ team could be the first over-all seed, and Bobby’s team could be the last at-large team selected? Both have a connection to Danny White…whose brother, Mike might be looking for a head coaching job in a year or two, if he doesn’t right the ship at Georgia.

Bulls went 1-7 versus teams that are headed to NCAAs, including 4 games that were close losses: Drake, Howard, Kent twice. Here’s hoping they schedule like that again.

Agreed. However, it may come as a surprise (as it was for me) to learn that the MAAC on average pays more to its men’s basketball head coaches than the MAC. I think it’s a disgrace what some of the coaches are paid, but that’s the world we live in.

Whitesell? I am watching the Canisius/Niagara game. Griffs led by 17 at the half. Niagara clawing their way back with layup after layup after layup…ala Ohio vs Bulls in Cleveland 2005. It could be worse.

15-16 overall, some good some bad, with at least 3 games that we gave away late otherwise that record would look more respectable. Could definitely do worse even with a much higher paid coach and more talented roster. But we’re not going the direction we all want given the dropoff after Oats left town. It’s evident that a change is needed but I don’t see it coming for at least another season so we might as well try to enjoy the ride and support this team that can be exciting and maddening all at the same time. Here’s the plan: Copy what Iowa did against Mich St today. Get this to within 13 points with 2 minutes to go. Then put on the afterburners and win it in OT. 

Is this Toledo the same Toledo that beat the Griffs by 1 point? What is going on? Just a bad game from the Bulls, I hope. Because it’s all going to come together in Cleveland…led by Coast to Coast Powell!
