The MAC is going to be fine.
They are probably as good as typical.
Some nice wins by G5 programs these first few weeks and the MAC has some of them. The gap is actually closing between the P5 and G5.
Which makes sense since why would you go to a bottom P5 team when you can go to a top G5 team. The same ability level. The same level of talent around you but you win more games and can play in a bowl game.
You're seeing recruits going to Boise State, Dan Diego State, Houston, Cincy, UCF, USF, App State, Troy, and others over going to a middle of bottom P5 team.
Kids want to play, they don't want to sit for a few years. Which is part of the reason the P5 pushed to pass the rule that you can redshirt and still play up to 4 games. This allows them to convince kids to not go to a G5.
