  1. http://ubfan.com/bb/index.php?/search/&q="danny white"&author=admin&search_and_or=or&sortby=relevancy What are your ties to Danny White? In the past day you've posted three times about Danny White and how everything great is because of him and how anything that didn't go well is because people didn't fall in line. You know we have moved on right? White is gone. There is no point to mention him in every single post. Give it a rest.
  2. Or because the Big Ten actually looks to play the MAC schools because the MAC schools are in the Big Ten Network footprint. And these less high profile games are the ones that get picked up by the Big Ten Network. They would much rather play Buffalo and have another 50k TV viewers (making money for the BTN from advertisers) than play New Mexico and have no extra TV viewers because no one in New Mexico has the network. Seriously, I don't get the constant love affair with Danny White. The Big Ten has been pushing for more MAC games since the launch of the BTN. They come calling to the MAC schools. Want to praise scheduling? Compare it to other MAC programs which are getting home games from P5 schools. These are the MAC schools hosting home games against P5s the last two years: Akron - Iowa State Bowling Green - Maryland CMU - Kansas NIU - Boston College NIU - Utah Toledo - Miami (Florida) Ohio - Kansas WMU - Syracuse
  3. The MAC is going to be fine. They are probably as good as typical. Some nice wins by G5 programs these first few weeks and the MAC has some of them. The gap is actually closing between the P5 and G5. Which makes sense since why would you go to a bottom P5 team when you can go to a top G5 team. The same ability level. The same level of talent around you but you win more games and can play in a bowl game. You're seeing recruits going to Boise State, Dan Diego State, Houston, Cincy, UCF, USF, App State, Troy, and others over going to a middle of bottom P5 team. Kids want to play, they don't want to sit for a few years. Which is part of the reason the P5 pushed to pass the rule that you can redshirt and still play up to 4 games. This allows them to convince kids to not go to a G5.
  4. Yes and no. It is a home/home agreement with Temple returning to Buffalo next year. However, home/home agreements still have money change hands to cover the cost of travel and to not disrupt budgets year to year. Typically the visiting team is paid $200-$300k but then Buffalo will have to pay the same amount to Temple next year. So it is a wash. There is no big money like when the Bulls go to Ohio State and are getting $1.8 million.
