  1. FYI to anyone still trying to buy tickets for Saturday's game, only individual tickets available are general admission (sections 117-121) and 300 level seats. I was told season tickets have taken up sections 111-116, which sounds like a promising turnout for Saturday's game.

Somehow I managed to snag 2 tickets off stubhub behind the UB bench in 115 for 60 dollars.

The SIU boards are now wondering if Fletcher is available for at least part of the Murray State game - I have a feeling he'll be playing on Saturday.

This was posted in the forum. Very interesting. Wonder if Fletcher broke a team rule and is being punished for it. Either way, I want him to play on Saturday, I want the challenge for UB.

    FIVE YEARS OF SUCCESS.

    We are on FIVE YEARS.

The school graduates like 6,000 people a year.  And there are over a million people who live in the area.  Getting 6,000 people to a game shouldn't be hard.

23,000 showed up to see the football team play Army following a 6-6 season.  Don't tell me people don't turn out without years of success!

If Bonas can sell out a Buffalo game then Buffalo can sell out a Buffalo game!

5 years, okay, again, look at where we are located, man. We don't live in an area where there is college sports culture and tradition. UB is not known for being a sports school. The first time in school history that we are ranked in basketball and now some more people are paying attention, that's great. You talk about "well if the Bonnies can do it, so can we". Okay, but, how long have they been competitive in basketball for? Since the 70's? A real near 50 year head start in Olean.

It's going to take more time.....5 years of success is nothing. You have to grasp that. This is Bills and Sabres country. Always has been. Oats' Bulls might be the first program to change that, change the culture around here.

You're just not getting the big picture....at all.

How about after three NCAA bids in four years?

How about after first ever top-15 national ranking?

How about after nearly selling out for MAC games?

How about after people were just a month ago commenting on here about how Alumni Arena should be made bigger?

It is built.  Now the people need to come.

Man, 4 years of success isn't shit. Especially in an area where basketball is a complete afterthought, dominated by the Bills and Sabres, and with no college sports atmosphere in the Buffalo area. We as fans have to be patient.

Their (limited) board expects him to be out of the Murray St. game tomorrow but "hopes" he'll be back on Saturday. There are, seemingly, still no details on the reason or duration of suspension.

Their coach has been super hush hush on the suspension, refuses to give a reason why and how long.

We have to stop making excuses.  Now is the time for sell outs.  If Alumni can't get sold out with UB being ranked and playing a tough opponent then what are we even doing here?  Might as well pack up and go home.  Seriously, Alumni isn't big.  This game is a sell out.

Rome wasn't built in one day. Relax.

It’s all about the conference. You bring in big name schools like Cuse, Villinova or Uconn to alumni people will come. But until they upgrade in conference, people will dismiss the level of play even though UB is legit good.

Also, fuck anyone who dismisses us. We are #14 in the nation, and people in the world of college basketball recognize the talent UB has right now. Haters are going to hate. For God's sake, we have never been ranked during the season. Let's live it up. Let's pray for Nate and his staff to take us somewhere special.

Our school does not have the money to host big name programs though. And even if we did, teams don't want to play us on the road. Changing conferences isn't going to happen for a while. You think because we've had actual success in basketball for the past 4 years that we can just jump conferences? Nope. That won't happen for a long long time. Patience is a quality we as fans must have. As long as the university is committed to basketball, committed to Nate and invests in him, then he can build it into a college atmosphere and built into some special.

    Who was the highest?

Just off the top of my head Kent st ended at 12 after their elite 8 run.

Kent State's final AP ranking after the tournament was #12.

As far as I can see, Buffalo at #14 is the highest ranked MAC team during the season, prior to the tournament.

Yeah.  After everyone is pumped up over that big win at Bonas.  The team needs to remember that though it seemed like Bonas was a really good team and we all know it was really big to get a win over them, they are only rated #256 in the NCAA NET rankings.  SIU, Cuse, and Marquette would all blow out Bonas too.   These are big games that can't be taken lightly.

We need a few more wins to secure that at-large slot.  The at-large slot is critical.

Don't let Bonas fans know that......

  11. They play Murray State tonight on ESPN+ also, will be a good game to watch. Murray State has one of the most underrated guards in the nation, Ja Morant. Will be interesting to see is Fletcher plays tonight. SIU's coach has been hush-hush on how long he'll be suspended for and the reasoning behind his suspension.

I want SIU's best players on the floor, we need to be tested with every team's best.

Yeah...I love the fact he did this.  I think he was amazed by the profanity and couldn't help but to twist the knife a bit.  Lots of likes for that tweet tonight!

A lot of cry baby Bonnie fans crying that it's "classless". When the tweet specifically addressed the "we want UB", "fuck UB" and "UB sucks" shenanigans.

A lot of fans are so dense, so jealous, and so full of themselves. It's really sad. They can't bear to see UB has any success.

Wonder why Bona  administration allows that??? You can shout a lot of things but does it have to be that type of language.  I guess I am in the minority on not to use foul language. Go Bulls!!!

Bonnies basketball is really the only thing Olean has. I feel bad for them, really. I don't even take it to heart when they say things like "fuck UB" or "UB sucks". It just makes the win even sweeter. But, moving on to SIU. Then we have more important things to worry about like Cuse and Marquette.

Then there’s this,    http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/recap?gameId=401085724 “The Bulls ... were unfazed by a rowdy, sold out and profanity-chanting  crowd....” I cannot imagine that’s how Bona, its administration and fans want to be known. The rowdy and sold out is what makes college basketball special. The profanity-chanting should be left in the gutter where it belongs. And that goes for every sporting event anywhere.

For Context, that was John Wawrow's story in the AP. Here's the tweet.
