What do you gain by posting something like this?
You make Bona fans look bad and insecure.
They are bad and insecure. You would think they would have won NCAA tourney games in the last 50 years by the way they act. They’ve always been irrelevant.

I would never try to argue with someone so knowledgable about A-10 membership. I will however try to give you some perspective on the differences between membership in the MAC as opposed to the A-10.
This is your biggest game of the year. We are without a doubt the best team remaining on your schedule. If you win you will be able to slap yourselves on the back and say well we beat Bona. That being said, your only important games remaining are the games in Cleveland. Win the MAC tournament and you will go to the NCAAs, don"t win that and you have no chance at an at large bid. You will have no resume for an at large bid. If we win it is a good win you guys are a good program. If we lose we will still have chances to beat teams such as Dayton, VCU, St. Louis, and Richmond {the last three we will play twice}. We will even get to play such small private schools like UMASS, George Mason, and Rhode Island. Under Schmidt we have competed quite well in the A10. SBU has the second most wins in the Atlantic 10 in the last 8 years. UB is a good program and it benefits us to play you home and home. Who do you ever get to play you at home that compares to Bona? We are always the best team that you have in Buffalo when we play at UB. If you want to advance your basketball program leaving the MAC would be a good idea.
Side note: I have been to a couple of UB football games are your students aware that you have a "program"?
It was the biggest game of the year until Lofton got hurt. And if we win it’s not going to feel as good. And your fan base will let us hear about it too.

Maybe if Whitesell can’t deliver, the Bulls would get Hurley back. Although, I don’t think that would be an improvement.
Yeah no thanks

So there were a few of us watching that game!
I don’t see Lofton playing against us. He looked to be hurt. Few weeks would be my guess.
Not good, I want their full team to play us. I don’t want an easy win. I hope it’s nothing serious and he gets back to playing soon.

End of the 3rd Bulls sitting pretty up 65-43. Fair leading the way with 19 points and Georgia Woolley having a great game at 17 points.

Wow!! Amazing how the state of basketball is you live and die by the three point shot. Teams do not or can not change their game plan in today’s game. Very seldom do you see pull up jump shots or many shots inside the three point line. Games are littered with terrible three point percentages but very seldom do you see coaches change. Go Bulls!!!!
It’s been the state of college basketball and basketball in general, it’s all about flashy shooting. As a unit we are pretty damn good inside. And with our improved free throw shooting, we can abuse teams by getting to the line constantly by making a living inside. That’s not to say we should stop shooting 3’s, but if we live and die by them, games are just going to be out of reach.

Game night for the ladies, let’s show our support. They are coming off a good game against James Madison. Let’s keep it going!

Brock plays until Brock says he is done playing.
He’s gonna be 35 by the time he’s done playing here.

Let’s get the game thread going. Big game Saturday. SUNY Amherst against Olean Community College. This will be a pretty good game. Bonnie’s offensively are nothing special but they play very good defense. Bonnie’s dropped out of the top 25 which is unfortunate but this would be a big win for us.

I don’t know how they came to be but this was the explanation I received.
I’m paraphrasing… “They’re easy wins at home that don’t negatively impact your metrics at 1/4th of the cost to schedule a bottom tier D1 opponent.”
You gotta wonder if covid may have played a part. Maybe it didn’t. This has got to be one of the more underwhelming OOC schedules in a long time.

Played a great 1st half vs Illinois State. Can certainly strain defenses with his ability to hit the three ball. His continued development on defense will be key.
The more he plays, the better he will get, he needs to be on the court as much as possible. Having him be a leader in the front court is gonna be key the next couple of years after this season.

True, but Skogman is only a starter as of an hour ago lol
That is…very true.

Good first half. No bench points which is still a concern. It’s nice to be up 15 but we have to get more production from other guys on the squad and not just have 4 guys scoring. Either way, let’s finish strong.

Skogman is not Mitchell Watt, but he moves and plays a lot like him
That’s what I’m thinking. This is what we were hoping to see from him.

Skogman is just so much better than Brock. Keep Brock off the court until foul trouble or injury looms large.
-
Skogman starting ahead of Bertram. Thank the lord.

Any reason why skogman didn’t see much playing time in the second? We really needed some length out there
Kind of a defensive liability. He’s a little further behind than where he should be right now. Unless he improves or shows signs of good minutes he’s probably only going to appear early in games and play in blow outs
-
Cannot fathom how bad our depth is too. We have 4 guys who can do remotely anything and that’s it. This was supposed to be a considerably deeper team and they are the opposite.

Josh Mballa has been an absolute ghost in these 4 games. Always quick to be benched because of foul trouble. We need him to step it up in the worst way.

That wide open lay up at the end of the first half came back to haunt ub
They also left a shit ton of points at the line. They aren’t good defensively. If Whitesell can’t make it work with this years team you can bet next years team will probably be a dumpster fire.

Bad loss. Just very bad.

Them missing Lofton is nearly 1/4th of their total points. If UB doesn’t win this game, Whitesell should be on the hot seat.
