  1. Well, the team is better this season than they were last year.

Are you insinuating Coach Jack should go or is not a good coach? Bc that is laughable. She has brought more sustained success to this program than any UB team has ever had.

If a player isn't happy or can't hack it...they can go. Again, it doesn't help the player or team for someone to stay if they do not want to be here.

  2. Yes, this game should have been a win but VCU is still a very strong team. I do not think there is any danger of a "long, long year."

As for the rotation, Coach Jack always uses the early part of the season to play the players on the roster. At this point, you have to figure out what you have and how to use it. This occurred early on during some of the MAC championship seasons and I remember ppl worrying about it then as well. FLJ usually settles into a 7-8 player rotation at some point during MAC play.

  3. Unreal...and too late in the week to even try to schedule another opponent. Although, I wouldn't be surprised if the MAC has a clause that would prevent scheduling other opponents anyhow. What a shame.

This was always the most likely game to get canned when the schedule was released.

  4. It's always tough to say they would have for sure blown it had the game been closer at half. If it were a close game throughout I doubt UB comes out as flat in the 3rd quarter. JMU is a good team, so this is still a very solid win.

Besides Hemphill, Gaba also did not play again as well as Keita, who did play in the exotic, so not sure of the issue there. Another tough one against VCU Thursday...2-0 in VA would be a very good start to the season.

  5. For the 1st game in a weird year, it was pretty solid. Other than the 1st 5 minutes of the 2nd half, UB was clearly the better team. Williams seems like he has/is ready to take the next step and be the 2nd go to guy along with Graves.

Will need to see more of course, but it looks like this team will compete in the top 4 of the MAC, but not sure if they have enough to win it.

UB beat Mercyhurst today 85-49 - Summer Hemphill didn't log any minutes - anyone know what's up?

As per the ESPN+ broadcast, she should play in one of the games in Virginia this coming week. McEvans was also held out due to being "banged up"...she will definitely be in the main rotation as well.

This is ridiculous at this point. Are we going to be spending the whole season on pins and needles just hoping to play each game? It's almost as if the playing of the game is even higher up than the win/loss/performance. It's so bizarro-world.

Let's let another year of life pass us all by...fun stuff.
