I don’t think she moves on this year. She hasn’t won anything. Her value isn’t at its peak. Of anything this bodes well for securing a raise. UB better make it a high buyout.

Finally happened. 

Sucks to have entered half time with the lead and then get blown out in the second half but I come away encouraged and knowing that we have a coach who can get us back to the tournament. Great second season for the ladies under coach Burke. Through all the turmoil and roster turnover. We were one half away.  But I’m confident we can continue to build and win a title soon.

Bringing this topic back around. With the change that regular season champs no longer getting the auto bid to the NIT if they fail to win their conference tournament, I’m sure they thought they could build a field of all high major schools. But schools such as Indiana and Ole Miss have already said no bc they are focusing efforts on recruiting. Lol. Bring back the auto bid for league champs.

Nate Oats buyout

Oats’ contract states his buyout is set at $12 million if he leaves before March 15 — which could be a major deterrent for potential suitors for his coaching services. The second season of his contract has a $10 million buyout, with the third season set at $7 million.

Incredible job by the ladies and the staff. Longest 10 seconds ever at the end there. But hats off to coach Burke for the complete roster overhaul then taking this team to the finals. We saw that she could build a year when we pushed Toledo and now we get redemption and move into the finals. One more!

Yea. It was a playful question not meant to be taken seriously. Obviously success of any kind is better than 2 wins. I don’t count the win over a high school team.

The reason Hurley and Oats succeeded, they wanted to be the best, build a juggernaut and recruited to it and have kids believe it. JW was a nice guy but didn't have the killer instinct. Jury is out on GHIII, if this was a kick in the ass season, maybe things will change. If the coaching staff does some soul searching, they will realize this league is ripe for the picking if they approach it correctly. 

I think what you’re saying is give me a coach who is using the mac as a stepping stone. A coach who has higher ambitions. Like a Hurley and Oats. The MAC has coaches who are newbies, retreads, ambitious or old guys who seem comfy where they are. Wide range of coaches. 

Toledo going down in the tournament, like the masters, it’s an annual tradition.  No auto bid to the NIT either. I laugh at them but it’s kinda sad lol.
