The Chatman 4th foul might be game, I think I'd let him play it out
Not sure it will be a game by the time you would normally bring him back

One small positive - Fulcher seems to be playing better. Not trying to do too much, not turning it over as much, he’s excellent off the bounce when driving.
Him coming off the bench to start games seems to really work for him
Been looking the part of a Mac guard since conference play, now we just need at least one more true pg
-
Team should start a rotation of playing/resting Adams and Chatman always at the same time
Need to start seeing what you got with the guys expected to return
(Not advocating for less minutes for either, just think the coach should start maneuvering to see more of what will be left next season)

Let's get a second Mac win!
(Currently watching Curtis Jones knock down threes for Iowa st against Kansas)

Resources plus hard work is a highly effective combination from my experience. They're not always mutually exclusive.
How is #8 Kenpom Alabama not ranked atm?
6 losses will do that to you (granted all against good opponents but no wins against top opponents either until last night)

"Kinda crazy"? Is having a competent coach "crazy"? This team would be a million miles better under the old regime. Sorry, he wasn't Nate and never was going to be, but he was a solid coach. Now look at what we have.
Why don't we give him 5 more years while we're at it? I mean, this year we can't count because "these aren't his guys" or "he lost an entire team". Next year's excuse will be "these guys are young and growing into the system". The following year will be "we need more money and support". By then, maybe we'll have 10 total wins under this regime, but I'd wager against it, unless they schedule 15 games with Roberts Wesleyan.
This is so sad to watch the absolute disaster that this has become. Watching long time fans and supporters walking out with 10 minutes to go last night, shaking their heads, one after another. You could've heard a pin drop pretty much the entire 2nd half. The only time there is noise is when a t-shirt is being tossed into the crowd. I made it to 0:00, but my head was in my hands. As I walked past the Ball State fans (all 20 of them who made the trip) I overhears one of them say "we were louder than all of their fans" to which I casually replied "you see the product we have, right?". One season ticket holder, Courtside, even mentioned casually that he's likely not renewing next year. This is not good whatsoever, with absolutely zero light at the end if the tunnel, only deeper darkness.
I mean I stand by kinda crazy
One player being injured last season likely cost whitesell his job...which is kinda crazy that one player likely swings a large decision that much
Never said that had we kept whitesell we would be better currently.....I mean that's pretty obvious

Important to note that the program rankings don't update until after the season. There's a decent shot we drop below at least Miami after this season. IUPUI was the biggest faller last season (among non-recent transitioners), dropping 23 spots after finishing ranked 360.
These are all made up numbers so who cares I guess, but they help quantify what a disaster Halcovage has been. Somehow it feels like this board was more pessimistic when Whitesell was here than when Halcovage is actively running this program into the ground. I guess all but the most optimistic have just stopped caring, and I counted myself in the more optimistic group during the Whitesell years.I think the optimistic ones that remain because realistically you need to give Coach GH3 another season
The guy lost an entire team and needed to start from scratch, should it be as bad as what we are witnessing probably not but fans do need to at least have some patience
Side note if Chatman had played last season whitesell is likely still coaching, which is kinda crazy to think about

Wish we knew why the last scholarship wasn't used
Also what happened to Kanye Jones and is that Diovion Famakinde still on the roster? Don't believe I've seen either on the bench

72-39 run by ball st
-
Maybe Alabama needs another co defensive coordinator

He at least seems like he knows what he is doing or has a legitimate plan of action
Also comes across like a football coach more in line with Lance and Turner Gill

14-0 ball st run, scoreless in six minutes
-
40-18 minus the first couple minutes
-
Turnovers killing them now

UB starting HOT 🔥🔥🔥

I was never a big fan of mo (too much salesman for my liking), but this guy I think will be solid.
Interested in learning how he shapes the roster
He sounds like a guy that knows how to do it

How telling is it when pretty much the entire fan base (as small as it seems to be these days anyway) is either happy that Mo is gone or basically in the mindset of "whatever"? It's incredible to me that someone who made $2mil+ here, with incredibly subpar results, is being hailed as a "great hire" by those online and by the fans of Alabama. What has he ever done? Prior to UB's <.400 record (including .333 versus FCS teams) he left the "co-DC" job before even coaching a game. What a racket this guy has made for himself.
I mean he is a great hire for what they hired to be, a recruiter for defense

If Pete lembo is the guy, what happened at ball st from his first couple seasons to his last couple?
Seems his record went down hill when his coordinators left
-
This whole thing seems odd to me
How has polian done as the AD at John Carroll? Would it be a huge jump to UB?
The one tweet/x post that mentions that no search firm has been hired or at least haven't heard of one
Conspiracy......alnutt is on the way out?

I hope that if the freshman that coach brought in transfer before they graduate that coach can pivot quickly and start to target older transfers to replace them
You don't over recruit players that normally would be going to schools at a lower level than UB for them to turn around and transfer quickly
The team is very obviously being built with freshman and four year players in mind. If you can do it, with patience it's potentially a long lasting program being built that could and would last past multiple head coaches. But it's very risky in today's day and age and can not only blow up in your face but can destroy any coaches career associated with it because if it fails it will fail epically

Does anyone think we'll need big NLI to keep Boldin and Sabol?
I would assume at least with boldin he is more about playing time and opportunity and getting proper or good coaching and even opportunity to play professionally vs money in school
I can't imagine say 50k for himself or his family really moves the needle
This is actually an interesting thought on recruiting going forward

Big possession out of the time out here, let's get a basket and make Toledo sweat a bit more

Still waiting for the version of Graham who shot 43% from 3 at MoSt. He’s down to 5.9% at UB (1/17) including tonight’s 0/3 thus far. If we could get anything from him and Adams could return to last year’s form, we’d be in business
I have no idea how he scored points at Missouri st
I do like his defense and effort level though

A second half lead!!!!!!!!!

What's sad is they brought him back quicker than normal and the minute or two he was sitting was too much
