I know we seemingly have no idea who they're playing this season, but the first month - if it happens - is looking like a gauntlet.  2 games in Bubbleville against TBD opponents who are (at the very least) of UB's calber, if not better.  Then 5 road games at (in no order) WVU, Syracuse, Bona, BG, and Akron.  That's a hell of a start to a season with no tune-up games.

When students eventually leave on break I believe we won’t see as many cancellations. Teams are tested regularly and the players, coaching staff will not have to worry as much about catching the virus from the student body 

Women are playing mercyhurst on Wednesday, could the men find a game for this week? Syracuse just recently scheduled Bryant for friday. No reason why we can’t find another team to play before they head to bubbleville

Even if charges get dropped, he shouldn’t be a part of the team. I don’t think he’ll get the chance, too much evidence against him. Who brings a knife to a pickup game in the first place

I’d expect that a lot of our younger players will take the field in the second half, possibly limiting how many times we score. It may be unrealistic to do so but I’d love to see Casey Case get a shot at QB if a chance arises, I’ve heard great things about him through the team

If it’s merely an exhibition game, would saleh and Brewton be able to play?Skogman played against daemon last year and sat out the rest of the season

We played Daemon last year, it’s not uncommon for D1 teams to face d2 teams to start the season. I’d expect it would be a good time to get Robinson and Skogman a chance to get their feet wet and get ready for some tough tests in non conference and conference schedules

Both are hurt for some time, both were injured during a team scrimmage. Riggins should be back before Washington

Luckily for Miami the football team is tested quite often, shouldn’t be a problem for the game 🤞

Pitinos presence brought in a bunch of underrated recruits. Iona always seems to find those diamond in the rough type players. They are always a tough team to play and keep the game close.

I’m close friends with a couple of the guys on the team. They are even unsure who’s going to start. They did point out that Lance really likes Myers but is really impressed with vantrese. One of them even said Casey Case could make a run for the starting job, said his release was incredible and very accurate

I believe Vantrese will start, he played well at the end of the season and helped win us our first Bowl game. 

Seems like they’re in the process of creating a challenging out of conference schedule which will be a good test before the conference schedule. Losing Zachery will be tough but I’m really confident in our guards. Graves, Segu, and gallion are great players and I think they’ll be great contributors. Robinson looks good in practice and I’ll believe he will bring a exciting flare to the game when he checks in. I’m hoping Nickleberry has a breakout year, he’s a great player and should be a force if he stays healthy

I’m 99% sure we will not see him suit up for the team. The case could be dragged out and most likely he will be charged for the stabbing or possession of a weapon. Even in self defense, why would you bring a weapon to a pickup game? I’ve also heard reports that he got into some trouble in Niagara Falls with a woman as well as threatening to shoot up a party

I agree this should provide some entertaining games.  Per a couple of different polls - Vermont is ranked in mid 70's.    Only ranking I see for Iona is around 300 - but as you say - the current coach might be able to get more out of them.  Iona has  a 7'1" JUCO transfer that average about 11 ppg and shoots the 3 at 30% - should be interesting to see how Skogman matches up with him.

Iona is always tough no matter their record. They play physical and like to get the ball in the paint, this could be a tough test for our big guys

A bit off topic but with the new eligibility rule, Graves could have another season with us if he chooses to stay. Having him with Segu, Brewton and Robinson would make us extremely deep at PG, we’d have an a ton of big guys as well

I’m hearing Syracuse is one of our games, would be nice to play some New York teams to mitigate out of state travel
