Would you want to be or have your son be a guinea pig for this experiment? I would not.
If players are tested consistently and there are no fans, it would be pretty safe. A lot of these bigger conferences are ignoring that a bit. If the Mac can find a plan for testing and to play a conference schedule, I’d definitely be for it

UB is scheduled to play in the Paradise Jam this November but due to the new start date could we see this event pushed back or even canceled? I like the Bulls chances in this tournament and I hope they will be able to pull it off

With Malik looking like he will no longer be a part of the team this year, could we see Keishawn being granted a waiver to play? Many transfers around the NCAA seem to be granted the opportunity. It would be nice to have another playable guard on the court, Graves, Segu and Gallion are the only guards we have with NCAA experience. Robinson was a highly rated guard in HS but who knows how he will be able to handle the D1 level

Really like what I see. Another good ballhandler with size which we can use. I can see him fitting in at the 3 spot and give us a nice size lineup.
I used to be a student at Siena, they always ran with really tall lineups. Many of their guards could play numerous positions and it worked really well for them

Word is we are pursuing him hard along with FGC, FIU and East Carolina.
Dude is basically a 6’7 point guard, would love to get a commitment from him. He’s deadly from 3 and has insane hops. One of the better JUCO dunkers out there

Since the every team in March madness proposal by the acc was shut down. Will we see UB plan some non conference games? Syracuse, St Johns, Rutgers and Siena all seem like games that could be set up
-
The ACC and NCAA have floated the idea of having every team play in the tournament. Not sure how’d that exactly work, an out there idea for sure. Would help UB if they can’t get any non conference games this season

Should help with recruitment a bit, that room is nicer than some big name schools

Kanye will announce his commitment in the next day or so, Rivals has UB in his top six school interests along with Elon, Charleston, Drake, Charleston Southern and Cleveland state. Holds 16 offers with some interest from Virginia Tech and Xavier

I’m hoping we can do what the ACC is doing, all MAC teams are closer together and not located in the south (where the pandemic is hitting hard). With that said I believe it should be possible to have a conference schedule played this fall, if teams test adequately and take certain precautions if a player tests positive

I had trouble finding anything on him, but its good they are able to fill walk on spots through players on the team that have friends or know guys looking to play still. With everything going on I find it hard to believe they would have there walk on try out still.
He’s definitely more than capable to play if he gets any minutes, prolific prep is an absolute powerhouse of a team, anyone who dresses for them can play ball

Whitesell put out one of his mask up tweets with him as the player today, said he played with jennathen williams at prolific prep.
Watched some video on him, seems pretty decent. Didn’t hold any D1 offers out of HS only d2. Went the juco route and seemed to play decently.

I’m friends with Malik on Snapchat and he posted an edit of Lance Erving in a Bulls uniform. It seemed like it was an official edit made by someone in UB’s basketball department. He was originally committed to Louisiana Tech but went Juco to chipola instead, wouldn’t be surprised if he received an offer via Foley

The Ivy League is cancelling all fall sports during the fall. No sports will be played until 1-1-21 at the earliest.
The Ivy League was the first domino that ended all conference championships and put an end to March Madness.

Stanford dropping 11 sports after the 2020-2021 year.

My guess is this is is the tip of the iceberg. The Big XII is having multiple shut downs because of positive COVID19 testing. This is a mandatory quarantine in New York for people coming from Kansas, which puts the season opener for football in peril.
My prediction is that the Ivy league will lead the way again and that there will be no fall sports in the entire NCAA for all divisions. It will get to the point where the risk of multiple law suits from students who develop COVID19 from teammates will be too expensive for schools to afford. Even if schools were to accept the claims for this (and all other injuries) under their states Workers' Compensation Laws, it would still be too expensive to try to hold fall sports.
We could definitely see some spring football and basketball soon, hoping they have the plans for it.

Any idea how many open scholarships we have left?
Not sure, we are losing a bunch of seniors after this season so I’m guessing they have a bit more spots to fill

MAC Football Decison

Especially if precautions are taken, testing players daily, making sure players are not coming in contact with certain individuals if tested positive. Not having fans will help with safety as well. I’m confident the MAC will keep these players safe, larger conferences seem to disregard Covid a bit but that’s their decision. If these players can be tested regularly and kept safe, why not have a season where these guys can showcase their talents to pro scouts.
