If they do not have enough football players to field a team they can just find a snowstorm and drive their equipment truck into it and we'll just go on to week 2 like nothing happened.

I’m usually very optimistic about the season starting on time but this whole virus issue in the south is a bit worrisome. If a bunch of southern FBS schools close for fall semester they might just cancel the season. Still have to months left, hopefully they could play in spring if it comes to it

I live in the Niagara Region and it's been trending this way for a while. No students on campuses this Fall, so most of the universities will not stage sports until early 2021 at the earliest. My wife is starting an M.A. program at Waterloo and it will be virtual. The USports aren't huge but it stinks for the players. Oceane Kounkou transferred home to play for Carleton U. but since WBB games are in the Fall/Winter, she will only get a delayed season.

Canadian opinions of US/overseas travellers are low due to fear of increased numbers, so the borders are staying tight. I worked in Buffalo and crossed the Peace Bridge daily up until March 16th, haven't been back to the US and worked remotely since then, as I'd have to quarantine for 14 days coming back into Ontario. Doug Ford is opening areas in stages so it looks a lot like Cuomo's strategy. But it won't change the virtual college classes/no sports decisions. My step-son chose to go to UB this fall (engineering) and we are waiting to see how much of his program will be virtual, vs him commuting to North Campus for lab work.

My roommates are Engineers, majority of their classes were small. You never know though, depends on what the professors want. Small classes would be easier for in person instruction

Seems like a very good hire. Would be a little strange for him to go from up and coming juco head coach to a position equivalent to Jenkins old role. Nevertheless, happy he’s apart of the staff in whatever capacity that may be.

Guy coached one of the best Juco teams in the country, means he was probably decent enough when it came to attracting talent and developing players. Zachery according to himself and a few sources, was a 4 star out of HS. He was able to attract him to his team. Foley also had some of the guys on his team go to high major schools. I think this is a great hire for the Bulls!

Buddy, for someone who always claims to be a UB lover, you project more hate on the players and coaches than anyone on here, in a majority of your posts. It's tiresome. Instead of always finding things to criticize, be happy that this team has been so successful over the past many years, in addition to having a strong core returning and adding an impressive recruiting class. Life isn't all gumdrops and candy, but give your negative comments of the team a rest.

We were insanely young last year, inconsistent results are bound to happen. We still were able to win 20 games however. I think we will be top dog this year

    And impressive recruits coming in.

I don’t think our recruiting will waver any time soon, Buffalo has cemented themselves as a top mid major team. Even though the outcome last year was not what anyone wanted, still won 20 games with a young and new team.

Love it, we are stacked at the guard position and deep. Multiple scorers and ball handlers will keep us with same uptempo pace. My only concern really is our frontline, once you get past Mballa there is some uncertainty there. Hopefully Hardnett puts on some muscle so he can play a bigger role.

Huge pickup for the bulls, amazing talent and sharpshooter. I noticed he has a very large following on Instagram, any chance he was one of the Segu like players in HS?

I find it funny that 3pm came and went and they haven’t tweeted anything.

Great pickup for us. His interview showed that we still have name recognition.

The guy he interviewed with last night was supposed to wait until 3 as well 😂

I heard last night that he had picked UB. I however decided to be a fan and wait it out. But I did tell a few members close to me the good news!

A good get for the program,

He comes in as the third best recruit ever, behind Williams and Harris.

How’d you find out last night?

  9. 12 minutes ago, DooleyBull06 said:

He definitely could. I think we are deep in the front court. If Zachery signs we are deep at PG. I worry about us not having enough shooters. Which was an issue for us last year.

Zachery is a good mid range shooter, same with Segu. Graves is our only real deep threat but is sometimes inconsistent from long range.

I understood the Bertram one. He could’ve done what Ikenna Smart did. But never understood to speculation on Fagan. There was never an indication that he was unhappy here. And who knows what his role would’ve been last season had he not gotten hurt.

Fagan looked good when he was on the court, hoping he stays. He could play some big minutes for us this year

Not really, I just notice that he’s following a bunch of UB faculty and staff along with the teams Twitter account. Hope those are good signs, he keeps sending out mixed signals

He is teasing people hard on his Snapchat. Posted a picture of a UCF background staring “UCF or Cal 🤔” but he stated on Instagram earlier that he already told a podcast his commitment already, weird.

Obviously. But did he say anything that would lead you to believe anything? What did he say about the type of player he is and what he is looking for?

So no news on Bertram and/or Fagan? We kept hearing that one or both of them was likely to transfer, but I haven't seen either enter the portal.

After listening to an interview with coach Quarles it seems like Bertram is staying. Fagan looks like he is trying to get a medical redshirt. Fagan might play more of a roll next season at SF

Wait I’m confused. I thought the program gets shut down if people show him love

He also posted a photoshopped picture of himself with a Cal background on his Snapchat with “😌💛”. Not sure if someone made that for him and he’s being humble or he’s hinting his commitment to Cal. There’s so much going on lol, 247 believes he’s coming to buffalo, he seems to follow everyone at UB but Cal looms over him

You have to be trolling at this point. Those violations from 2001 are really scary. I hope the NCAA doesn’t decide to act on them 2 decades later!!

I will gladly keep committing these violations just so that you can report me to the compliance office. “Uhh yeah this 961819 guy said really nice things to a player we’re recruiting and it bothered me I hope you ban him from all the games.”

I had no clue talking to a player is a violation, it’s not like we are bribing or forcing them to commit to our school. Telling them that we’d love to have them on our team should be allowed

just looking at who Malik follows on twitter (kind of weird haha) he follows all of the staff (except whitesell) graves, and just recently the team account. Doesn't seem to follow any of the other schools accounts. Could mean something, could mean nothing. just an observation

That’s probably a good sign, just listened to a podcast that he was on. He loves that UB fans are urging him to come and supporting him. I’m guessing Quarles is lead recruit
