    That’s pretty glass half full...

CMU and WMU seem to be way down, NIU tho with a tough schedule doesn’t look like they have any offense.  Ohio hasn’t looked very good and Miami who was supposed to be in the upper half of the East looks awful.  Jury still out on Ball St, and BG.  I think Toledo is still the team to beat.

League is below .500 with really no marquee wins.

Even if Akron or UB manage to stay perfect, hard to see an access bowl slot over a one loss American team.

By no marquee wins I assume the wins over Purdue and Northwestern do not count.  Any time a MAC school beats a Big 10 other Power 5 school it is a marquee win.

Any idea when they determine the TBA start times for games? I'm thinking of driving down from northern NH for the Army game, but won't be able to leave until Saturday morning.  A noon or 1pm start time would make things a bit miserable - it's roughly 8 hrs. to get there.

The games that do not yet have a time will be announced 12 days before th game.

Should be a tough game.  If I recall correctly, EMU has beaten UB nearly every time they've played each other in the MAC.  I think UB won a home game a few years ago.

Does anyone know the difference between ESPN3 and ESPN+     I have the WatchESPN app...is that all I need to see the game?

ESPN3/WatchESPN is free.  ESPN+ requires a $4.95 per month subscription, with a seven day free trial.

  4. UB will play Milwaukee neé Wisconsin - Milwaukee at 8:00 EST* on November 30, 2018.  The second round games are at 8:00 AM EST or 10:30 AM EST on December 1, 2018.

Hopefully will be able to get  a stream from Detroit around at midnight Friday night/Saturday morning.

*UB has the game listed at 5:30 AM EST, however I have seen it on two websites that we are playing the second game of the doubleheader.

The Direct TV channel is part of an upgraded package.  Spent an hour on the phone with them, trying to get the upgrade.   ESPN3 kept saying that it was locked and wouldn't let us on.  Very frustrating.

I get the channel.  You may need the full nation wide sports package to get those ESPN College Extra channels.  Have been getting hoops games on those channels for years, including the  women uncut from Tallahassee last March.

Pretty quiet here. Why do I get the feeling UB fans have the same quesy feeling as our troops when they boarded ships for Operation Overlord ? Did you know the Allies brought some 30,000 stretchers to Normandy with them ? How many will be on hand for Bull players ???

Not that he needed to, but I noticed Tyree did not have one single carry.  Before his injury he was a take-off and run machine.   Do you think this is the coaches telling him about self-preservation for the season?  He really doesn't need to scramble and risk injury.  The team is good enough to make first downs and move the ball without his running.

Maybe it's also maturity as he sheds the high school type game that he used to play and now turning into a pocket-style QB.   On to Temple!

Unless it is a designed play for the quarterback to run, they do not run.  When they run it is because pass protection breaks down and they run for their lives or the coverage is too good to throw into and there is an opening for them to run.  Neither of those two situations occurred on Saturday so he did not have to pull it down and run.

  8. The four games that do not have TV listings is because of TV.  The Saturday football games for the most part are on 12 day windows, except for the first three weeks of the year.  Those are announced earlier.  That means 12 days before a game (two Mondays) both a time and television outlet are announced.  Rutgers will have the kickoff and television availability announced the Monday after the Temple game.  The following Monday we will find out about the Army game.

As for ESPN+ it is $4.99 a month with a one week free preview.  You could possibly get multiple free previews by using different names, email address and credit cards and cancelling before you have to pay.  I have access to six emails between personal, work and others that I control.  You could use a spouse's email and credit card and their emails as well.  I have no idea how many devices could be logged into one account simultaneously.

The Bulls are now 2-0, after beating Niagara and Seton Hall yesterday. Add in an exhibition victory over Colgate. Two of these teams are pretty strong teams using last years final RPI (Colgate at 111, Seton Hall at 109).

With the win against North Dakota State the Bulls won the Blue and White Classic.

  10. With the calendar feature is it possible to up load team schedules without having to input each game individually?  If yes, it would make the site better as people can post and see up coming games to post about.

Also will new sections be added for all other sports?

Thanks moving ubfan to the 21st century.
