How are we paying $675k to Mo who had no head coaching experience, while lowly Jacksonville St manages to get Rich Rod for $500k? They’re 8-4 and going bowling in their first year in FBS and we’re losing to flippin’ Fordham.

That is not his base salary.  His base salary is less than Rodriquez.  The figure includes bonus money related to going to and winning a bowl game last year.

It's unbelievable that there is not a coach from the Nate Oats tree coaching the Bulls. Three of Oats assistants were hired as Head Coaches this off season and none are at UB.

How many of them were urged by the higher ups at Alabama to look elsewhere after the off the court issues last year?  Do I know? No.  But after the program was thrown under the bus by Nick Saban, I assume some were.

The AD made the decision to let him leave, not an affordability issue from what the story is

Since all contracts have buyouts if a coach wants to leave, I am not sure how an AD can not let them go.  Also, would you want to keep someone working for you who has told they do not want to be there?

Not affordable?  He is making more money than he could have ever dreamed about when he was at Wisconsin - Whitewater.  He is at around $5,000,000.00 per year.

a UB Waterfront Stadium in downtown Buffalo of 20,000 to 25,000 in a horse shoe style stadium with the open end overlooking the Buffalo Waterfront with boat access for tailgating. Make it a small stadium with stacked slope seating with good views close to the football field.

That will really draw people on a November night with a cold wind whipping in off of Lake Erie.  A new Mistake by the Lake.

ask the MAC for no November home games. So UB Football home part of the schedule would be over by Halloween because of the cold and winds from Lake Erie potentially. So it means our November MAC action games are on the road yearly in my opinion. UB Horns Up! Go Bulls! Let’s Go Buffalo

So you think you have an answer for the November weather issues.  What coach wants to finish a season with four straight road games when they would like a home crowd to cheer on the team in a crucial game for a division title or bowl eligibility?  Road games are a pain in the butt for support people from equipment to medical to ticketing.  Do you think they would want four straight road games?

Since I’m venting I also suggest that they fix the internet in the Arena.

Agreed. It seems to go in and out. Once I can connect to wifi it works but at times it's a struggle to do that.

It is a campus wide issue.  I have given up and have a hot spot that I bring when I am on campus for meetings.  If you think Alumni Arena is bad for Wifi try being inside of teh stadium, even worse.

Why do they keep scheduling solid Patriot League programs? We are not at that level. lol.  If they must play FCS the Bulls should schedule NEC or MEAC teams.

Because when the games are scheduled the teams are not that good.  If a team wants to get better, schedule a game against UB.  It has been happening for years.

Don’t see how he could possibly play this season but the rules are so gray and muddled now who even knows. Is Kent and easier academic school than Miami?

Yes.  Whether it is deserved or not Miami called itself a "public Ivy".  Kent State is no where close to that level.  Academically Miami is either the second or third best academic school in the conference, with Ohio.  UB is a clear number one on the academic level.

They don't have large cleats for slick conditions like mud or snow? They looked like their footing was affected.

The have molded cleats on all shoes.  It is not the old days with screw in cleats that were changed based upon weather and ground conditions.

It is also unlikely that you could get any player today to play in regular sneakers, even on a grass field, the way the Giants did in 1934 when they switched to sneakers at halftime to win the NFL Championship over the Bears.

I guarantee that the equipment manager has the proper gear there for them.  While some others may be unprepared, I am 100% confident in saying that she is not one of them.

Ditto.  Also there is no such thing as snow cleats for a plastic field.

  10. Tyree Jackson has a shot at being activated this week. The Giants starting TE went down Sunday.  Jackson also helps wit the QB situation. He cannot be worse than DeVito was on Sunday as the third string QB if Tyrod Taylor cannot play on Sunday.

If Jackson does play he could have an on field reunion with Malcom Koonce.
