Do you think he was interested, or is he just satisfied at Toledo?

Unless Goodman is full of it, he must have been interested. I guess Calhoun really impressed despite the lack of tournament bids. Imagine that would have been Tod's ace in the hole if Toledo had even gotten there once in his tenure, and as it stands can't blame either for being keen on getting out of their current situations for a league that just got 6 bids.

See if he gets plucked or is he too old now for these P5 programs to care about mid-major success

Along with our old Miami foe Dae Dae Grant.

My bet is he retires, mission accomplished at Duquesne just getting that program to the tourney once after 47 years away.

Just calling it as it is, buddy. Things don’t look promising.

Lots of turnover for sure, maybe not 80% (considering we only rostered 12 this year ) but with the current JR/SRs I'd be surprised to see any return besides Graham.

Of the underclassmen, would be fairly surprised to see Sabol, Fulcher, Wilson, McVeigh, or Williamson hit the portal. So I'll take a slightly more optimistic guess of 50% turnover, leaving lots of room for experienced transfers to come in and support the young returnees. Go Bulls.

Wow, if this is true....  What head coach takes a coaching assistant position, even at an blue blood program??  So here we go again, looking to replace a head football coach late in the offseason.

Sean Lewis left Kent for the OC job at Colorado last year, and already parlayed that into the HC job at San Diego State. But at least he made that decision right after the season ended.

    Thanks for nothing, Mo.

I'm legit worried what the teams at the top of the Mac will do to this team

That's my worry as well. We'll manage a handful of wins but will almost certainly see some serious blowouts against top MAC teams and maybe even some of the mediocre ones. Never thought we'd sink so low that even making it to Cleveland would seem unattainable.

Whoops, I double posted this in the Coach thread.

I think it's just the same five. The Fab Five! 😂

Lol 5 returning players...a few years ago would have been an utter disaster, now not so bad an outcome, especially after a coaching change.

Good for Ade, should provide some needed leadership there after losing the top pick in the draft.

They also lost 3 other starters to the transfer portal including the legendary Treasure Hunt. Should be a solid path to playing time there.

And everyone drools over their coach, but still gets bit by the portal. Unless the coach is headed somewhere and it hasn’t been announced. This is the first real “post Covid” year so everyone that thinks they are better than their current situation are casting lines.

Vander Plas in the portal too. Would have been his 5th year, good recruiting or not that's still their clear top 3 from last year gone.

Doesn't look like this is on ESPN+. Any idea where it's being shown?

Listed as ESPN3 now, usually those are on ESPN+

UCI has a lot of size to contend with - tallest starter is 6'9 but they have two 7 footers coming off the bench. We'll want to push the pace whenever possible. Their offense seems to run through Welp (pronounced "Velp" apparently)
