College Sports Team Nicknames

Here are some notes to help

A note on some terms for this quiz:
Division I refers to the 360-ish teams in the top level of college sports - in this case it will be Division I for basketball.
FBS refers to the 130-ish teams in the top level of college football.
School name refers to how the school is known for sports (e.g. Iowa, not University of Iowa).
Team nickname refers to the nickname used for the school's sports teams (e.g. Hawkeyes).
Full team name refers to the school name and team nickname combined (e.g. Iowa Hawkeyes).
Mascot refers to the costumed person or animal representing the team (e.g. Herky the Hawk) and will not be part of this quiz.

I will start with the first four questions.

1. What is the only Division I school with a team nickname that is one of the seven deadly sins? Until 2001, this school had an unrelated and even more interesting (in your smith's opinion) team nickname referencing a mythical ship.

2. Two FBS team nicknames differ by only a space, with one being one word and the other being two words. Their two school names both contain states beginning with the same letter. Name both school names.

3. What well-known Division I conference is the only one to feature Lions, Tigers, and Bears (oh my) as team nicknames? If you go to any of those schools, you will definitely not be in Kansas.

4. Two FBS schools have team nicknames that are the plural of a different FBS school name (for instance, if Kansas was the Kansas Baylors or if Purdue was the Purdue Auburns). Name the full team name (school and nickname) of either one.
