  1. Revenue has not been capped. Demand has outgrown Supply, and the prices can be increased. While, not incurring new Rent fees.
  2. Even with students, the atmosphere should be tame compared to WVU, SU & Marquette.
  3. Don’t do that just for me. I thought things were fine as they were. And only offered a suggestion in case the overall group wanted a change.
  4. IMO, ranking was only a portion of your post, so no more related to the other post than to one of its own. Perhaps the compromise would be a dedicated From the 300 Level post for all these updates?
  5. The recent increase in transfers does not only apply to student athletes, but also to the plain old student. " Transfer student enrollment is projected to be the highest in three years at 1,735 students. " - From one of the bullet points at the bottom of the following article. http://www.buffalo.edu/news/releases/2018/09/017.html Edit: I don't think it will slow down anytime soon.
  6. ... couldn't tell... from the confines of the medical tent.
  7. Luckily, the coach has made a few good halftime adjustments in the past.
  8. I might grad transfer to hustlebelt. No one will care. My Three Things are: Attendance is much less volatile than RPI. ‘05 Bulls attendance really was amazing. ‘09-‘11 Rocket fans were quite resilient. Plus, todays matchup pits the greatest improvers against the biggest decliners.
  9. Sure, I understand your frustration. I even share some of it. But, I also have empathy for the student's point of view. Personally, I'm on the fence, and not invested enough to get worked up over it. It's basketball season after all, so let's have some fun...
  10. Okay, one more... I think this does the best job of showing how each fan-base reacts to their team's success. The range of the secondary y axis (attendance) was stabilized for all teams (I hadn't noticed that the scale changed in the previous picture). The individual team websites were used to verify the '09-'10 attendance data (that the MAC site lacked), so that year is no longer just an average. I was also able to get some additional attendance data, prior to '06, for some of the teams.
  11. Did freshman KJO ask to sit out and redshirt a year, or did he do what he was told to do? It doesn't feel right to fault someone for doing what is asked of them. In other instances, it hasn't worked in the student's favor. Gain 40+ pounds, play a new position, only to be let go because the next coach doesn't use that scheme.
  12. Ever wonder how well UB's home attendance correlates to their RPI? Here it is...
  13. After that, I spend 2 more minutes remembering the Miami fans love affair with the Bortzian Army.
  14. The Maniacs of 2005 are correct to say; “we’ve been here before”.
  15. I just refreshed the attendance figures for the MAC. Over the past few years, only UB, EMU and Toledo have seen increases in their home attendance. * the MAC site didn't have data for '09-'10, so I'm showing an average of '08-'09 and '10-'11. ** '18-'19, as of 1-9-2019. Here is the original thread: http://www.ubfan.com/board/index.php/topic,16008.msg181768.html#msg181768
  16. I don't know why that ranking is supposed to be so good. That's why I like the following average. Bart Torvik is shown as T-Rank in this composite. https://www.masseyratings.com/cb/compare.htm
  17. Huge jump in Kenpom’s ranking... 29 this morning, up to 23 after the game.
  18. Wow, he was replaced in less than two weeks. http://www.ubbulls.com/sports/fball/2018-19/releases/20190108ohvr39
  19. Not all coaches always want to play up in weight. Kent St makes a good case study. But at that time, did they prefer quantity of wins over quality of opponents?
  20. RE: Even at home, they were no match... Well, EMU isn't exactly known for their attendance
