  1. Be patient my friend. Rome was not built in a day. As I wrote elsewhere, raising the profile and making UB a "Gonzaga" like program is something Nate is committed to. After four years I think he's earned our trust.
  2. I'll be there. I suspect there will be an excellent crowd as well.
  3. My advice to all; Let's enjoy this moment in time. While it's fun to speculate ahead what could be, let's focus on what is and what has to be done in order to accomplish things no UB fan would dare have thought of before this special moment in time. Thank you Nate Oats. Thank you UB men's basketball! Go Bulls!
  4. And to get their legs back under them after traveling overseas and back.
  5. https://collegebasketball.ap.org/poll There were 10-12 voters that did not vote for UB in the top 25 last week. That number is down to 1 this week. Let's keep it rolling!!
  6. Thought I saw something from Brain Wolf that they arrived in Toronto at 4ish, which makes sense because they had to bus to Dublin so they likely got an early pm flight out of Ireland.
  7. If Nate continues to raise the profile of the program, he will be able to schedule good teams here. Nothing to lose if you're playing a top 25 program. That's a huge challenge though to keep the program on this path through the year not to mention in the years ahead. But I know Nate and crew are committed to just that.
  8. That’s up from 23 or 24 I believe. It’ll be interesting to see what the 10-12 guys do who did include UB in their top 25
  9. Rothstein has UB at 16 this week. If I’m not mistaken that’s up from 22
  10. I agree. Bona will be tough with Stockard. He’s a tremendous athlete and player.
  11. Sounds like you have a complex of some sort. I love the atmosphere at RC. I’ve always been a fan. Just hope we get a win down there. RC isn’t different than a lot of college gyms. Akron is very similar though not nearly as nice. I’d say UB basketball is doing just fine. Going to 3 out of last 4 tourneys is unprecedented for the 4 local teams. The last time a local team was ranked was 1971 with Big Bob Lanier and Calvin Murphy led Bonnie’s and Purps respectively. That’s pretty darn good company. And if Big Bob didn’t go down against Villanova they would have won the whole thing. That was likely the best local hoops team ever.
  12. Nice analysis supported by facts BB. I think 19 or 20 is likely but not surprised by 18.
  13. In order to get a home game. They can’t get anyone to play at AA. That’s one of the reasons while they’re playing home and home with SIU.
  14. Syracuse struggled with Cornell tonight. They can be had. It’ll be a tough one regardless.
  15. Big big game! For comparison purposes Stephen Austin 66 Milwaukee 51. Of you compare scores we should be the underdog. Fortunate that isn’t how it works. Go Bulls! Let’s make it 7-0
  16. Don’t see how Lance gets poached. One good season and no championship. If he strings a few more seasons I could see it happen. In the other hand, I’m told he’s told people UB is his last stop.
  17. Tremendous! Don’t forget Blake Hamilton, Willie Conner and Nick Perkins all huge contributors.
  18. Big time bummer. They had the game by the scruff of the neck, took foot off pedal and let them back in. Defense and offense in second half were no where near championship caliber in second half.
  19. Nexus is huge. As CH says I believe it also gives you global entry. Just have to get your eyes scanned. I too prefer the Blue Water Bridge. But going through Windsor deposits you right downtown and very close to Ford Field.
  20. I have traveled both routes on numerous occasions. Everything being equal it is probably 6 to one half dozen the other. The Blue Water Bridge at Port Huron can get terribly backed up with traffic. If you have nexus then not much of a problem. If you don't you can be caught there up to 30-45 minutes. I haven't traveled the Ambassador Bridge or tunnel nearly as much, but I don't ever recall a problem getting across into the US. As they say your experience may vary. Good luck.
  21. Kenny Parr is still a season ticket holder. He was a long time hoop coach in the area after leaving UB. Beyond that he is one helluva person.
  22. No coincidence you showed after Bonas won one, finally. Good to see Stockard back. He is a helluva player and as Bonas' awful play before last night shows he is an irreplaceable part of the team. Nothing worse than losing games your senior year because of injury. I checked the Griffs' score in the second half and it seemed as though they wouldn't get out the 30s. Are the Griffs that bad or did they just have an off night?
  23. Nice article from Hoopsfix. Nate talking up possible GB and European recruiting. https://www.hoopsfix.com/2018/11/buffalos-nate-oats-hoping-belfast-classic-helps-globalise-college-hoops/
  24. Watching this game on MSG. EMU is the same they always are. A bunch of tall, lanky and athletic guys who always do far worse than they should. They have a transfer who must be 6’10”ish. He’s better than Thompson imo. He has a good smooth post game and is an intimidating presence defensively. They’re down by 20 with about 6 minutes to go. TCU has some length but not terribly impressive.
