  1. Waste of an offensive possession, more like waste of a scholarship.
  2. Nate would be screaming at these team. Whitesell looks as lost out there as the players do.
  3. No help defense and just a lack of effort out there. NIU just wants the game more than UB right now. Whitesell deserves some blame here you already know what German does how are you not prepared for the screen game.
  4. Mac East clearly lot more competition. Seems like bowling green, kent and Akron will be our main competition. Teams in west just don’t compare.
  5. Hope you are right. There is definitely a need for production off the bench. We are definitely lacking there, looking for one of these other guys besides Segu to step up.
  6. Why do people think we getting back this star or big role player. Mballa will still start at the 5. Brock will be good for 5-8 minutes off the bench, that’s it. Fagan maybe couple min also but neither gonna play big roles.
  7. I don’t know if I believe in all the metrics, sometimes can overrate or under rate teams. Bottom line, it looks like Bowling Green and Akron will be the toughest teams we will be facing in the MAC. Kent could be good, but they played a really weak schedule and did not look good against higher level competition so jury still out on them. The conference is clearly down this year as far as rankings go, mainly due to us not being as highly ranked as last year. But also, no other teams really having many high level wins. Our game against DePaul was the best win for the conference. Dartmouth/Army losses were brutal to our rankings as those are low level D1 teams and that just can’t happen on your home court. Hopefully we can go 13-5 in conference which should set us up nicely for the conference tourney.
  8. His shooting has just been terrible. Some of these shots were not bad shots they were wide open. Other times he passes up wide open shots, and then takes a deep contested fade away 2 which is almost always a miss. Even the ones at the basket he’s struggling to finish. Only positive I’ve seen is he’s been solid at the FT line. He’s a 5th year senior who has lot of experience, but he just not showing it. Luckily for him we really don’t have another higher level 2 guard off the bench (Segu I view as a 1), but at this point you gotta limit his minutes until he can prove otherwise.
  9. Some bad officiating especially play where we got fouled 3 times and then they call a foul on Graves on the rebound.
  10. Maybe the most overrated player coming into this year. He is straight trash.
  11. Start, definitely not. We are trying to win this game. He plays if Mballa gets in foul trouble, if not he doesn’t or maybe 2 minute breather.
  12. We need both Jordan and Graves to have good games tonight. Graves has had some mediocre games and can not afford to tonite if we going to win. Hopefully jeenathan can have another good game, he’s shown signs, just need consistency now. Hope Mballa stays out of foul trouble, as long as he stays out there he’s gonna be big on the boards. Will Johnson ever have a good game scoring the ball again? 32% from the field is straight embarrassing for a Senior with his experience. We are 13 games in, there is no excuse.
  13. No question best game from Williams as a Bull, played great all around and had no turnovers. If he is hitting that 3 makes him really dangerous, as it will open up the drive also. Only really negative to talk about is the turnovers, 19 is just way too much and most were self-inflicted. That will get you an L against a good team. Gotta clean that up for Bonnies game.
  14. These turnovers are ridiculous. Should be winning by way more. Segu has 5 of them himself, he just can’t seem to have two good games in a row.
  15. Agree with most of your points here. Jordan is definitely the leader and the best player on the team. Also, agree that people ripping on Johnson and Grant, but not talking about how bad Graves has been lately, which concerns me a hell of a lot more. Whitesell does deserve some blame for the lack if intensity and defensive play in bunch of these games, and not being able to make adjustments. Too much talent on this team to lose to Army and Dartmouth, period. I’m ok with the other losses. Yes, 9-4 would not be bad I agree there, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves, that St. bonnies game is far from a sure bet the way we been playing.
  16. Haha, noticed this too. Never seen that before, seen guys shoot a little behind the line, to the side slightly, hell even underhand, but nothing like that.
  17. Win is a win so I’ll take it and some good to take out of this game, rebounding was pretty dominant. Offense looked kinda lost at times. Hardnett had a great game except for the free throws. Jordan beast as usual, and some other nice contributions. The biggest disappointment to me was Graves. That’s two games in a row where he looked terrible, and it wasn’t just the offense, he took it to the defensive side where he had really stupid fouls. I hold him to a higher standard than some of the others as an upper class man and guy that’s been on this team for while. Not fair to compare him to CJ, but one thing about CJ did is even when he had bad shooting nights he still brought it and impacted the game in big way, just haven’t seen that from Jayvon. He needs to show more energy and effort out there.
  18. Some of these are wide open 3’s also. Problem is we don’t really have anyone off the bench who can shoot 3’s besides Segu, and even he hasn’t been consistent.
  19. Graves better get his act together, multiple games of looking like trash. Def does not look like an all Mac player.
  20. Disgusting to look at, but it’s what we deserve. You lose to two bottom level d-1 programs you should be penalized. Got to get act together and fast.
  21. This is garbage talk. Every game matters, every single game. That’s a losing mentality and these games matter. If we were so lucky to win the tourney, they’d be looking at these games when deciding the seeding.
  22. Zero intensity also. Hurley and Oats brought 100% intensity from sideline. Reminds me of Reggie. Needs to call out these guys for lack of effort.
  23. Pretty bad loss, your being very nice. It’s a horrendous loss, worse than Dartmouth. This team is just not good, no nice way to put it. Another bad game by Graves, very skilled player but too many pathetic games this year where he didn’t step up. Sorry, but he’s not an all conference player. Hope things change and we are a long way away, but winning 3 games in Cleveland is hard to do, and right not it’s pretty clear we won’t be able to do that unless things change.
  24. Horrible half, no defense, stupid turnovers. Segu playing like absolute trash, and Graves horrible also def doesn’t look like a leader out there. How many times do I have to see Jeenathan with point blank layups and dunks find a way to miss it. Mballa only guy that looks solid but he can’t guard everyone.
