He's from Portland and prepping in Canada. I think he would be able to be lured away eventually with NIL FWIW

With our NIL just starting up I’d expect it to retain our commitments unless they get an absolute bag. BTW I also heard that Our new center, Mighty, was looking for a place with decent NIL. Must’ve saw the prospects of it

Bradford reminds me of Devin Ceaser a bit, very very athletic with a very decent mid range game. Good get since we needed some guard help

  2. So I met with a former player the other day, one of my best friends as well. He had played under Leopold and Linguist. He didn’t have many great things to say about linguist at all. He said the majority of the team didn’t like his coaching style and said he was very unorganized. My friend also told me that he had full control of the offense and didn’t let the OC do much if at all. He’s now ran out of eligibility but still gets to practice with the team during spring ball. He loves Lembo and the consensus around the team is that Lembo is a great coach who gets along well with his players. My friend thinks the team is in really good hands with him

It's sad but time. The staff had to rebuild an entire roster from top to bottom and without nil doing that in one off season is near impossible

I see a team that can last being built rather than a group of guys at a gym playing pick up coming together. Which is what we saw ever since oats left

Realistically the first recruiting class GH3 had provided a base - very useful players on a good Mac team but not likely the main pieces. High floor low ceiling type of players. His second class on paper looks to be higher potential a lot more size length and athleticism again continuing the build a base of a team. Hopefully hit on a main piece

His third class will be very telling because that's when you absolutely have to bring in legit talent to supplement the base or to put your team over the top

THIS***** exactly what I’m thinking!!! Players like Sabol, Boldin and Wilson, even though under recruited showed that they can improve and play in the MAC. Our young players will only get better

    What’s the path forward?

He’s trying to build a team from the ground up, build chemistry and hope the majority stick together. I know he’s not going out and getting high end 3 stars like Oats and even Whitesell could pull but I still trust his judgement. He’s going through a development route

Pulling in recruits on the down low lol. What’s the buzz on him?

From the videos on his twitter he puts up decent numbers on a stacked team. I believe Long Island Lutheran was ranked as the second best team in prep basketball this season. He is one of the starters. Two of his teammates are top 100 in the country

I don’t really feel comfortable with starting any of these players. Ogbonna is straight up not a FBS level passer and admittedly I haven’t seen much at all of Gray and Watts , but I don’t believe they are difference makers if they couldn’t find playing time despite the QB woes last season. I hope we find a decent QB in the next portal window.

Gray had an insanely strong arm in the spring game last year. However, he didn’t pass often. Ogbonna showed flashes last year but he doesn’t have much arm talent. I’d expect it to be 1.gray, 2. Ogbonna, 3. Watts. Especially if the new HC and OC want to open up the passing game more.

They're more wings than guards. Akot and Jackson are college SFs from everything I've seen based on handle and height.

Boldin is the only one I'd call a true college SG. Adams, Graham, McVeigh, Wilson, Akot, Jackson, and now Batchelor are all forwards based on their lack of handle to me.

I get interchangeable pieces, but we're a roster without reliable PG play and without reliable big play at the moment. Waiting for those roles to be addressed.

I like having a ton of size but I totally get what you are saying, just having another PG who can also play the SG position would help a ton! We also do need a true center, we have height but not that type of height, unless Oboh is a complete stud we really need help there as well

    An entire team of SFs...

Seems to be a decent talent that needs a fresh start. Was ranked #207 out of IMG by 247.

Some incomers like Jackson and Akot also play the SG position. We  need a PG and Center transfer next. Many players can be interchangeable on the floor

Yes, was heavily recruited in HS. Held offers from Memphis, Florida and Clemson as well

I know I keep adding but I watched a lot of his highlights because Syracuse had a ton of interest in him out of HS. He was known as a dead eye three point shooter who also had quite a bit of athleticism. Can be moved around from the SF to PF position depending on matchups. I know on paper his stats don’t jump off the page but this dude can ball

named to this 2024 all Canadian basketball game

Supposedly the top 24 boys and girls are named to this team that either play in Canada or are from Canada

I believe Jack played in this as well, there is some insane talent in these teams

Who thinks we should extend GHIII?

If the team preforms better next year I’d consider it. Some of our freshmen were pretty impressive at times this year, they’ll only get better. Just need to hit the portal hard and find some players to surround them with. The young guys seem very bought into the process so I think they’ll stay for the ride. I’d go and grab another transfer center and PG instead of another freshman

Looks pretty athletic from his highlight tape, which is mostly dunks. Looks very skinny for a D1 player but he has time to build up strength. Doesn’t seem like he has any other D1 offers which is concerning, but maybe we’ve found a diamond in the rough we can develop.

A lot of Canadian players go under the radar, especially if they stay up in Canada for HS. This kid is an absolute baller

Found this for his U18 Championship stats.

    https://www.fiba.basketball/europe/u18b/2023/player/Timothy-Oboh

I'm ok giving some European guys a try. It works for the NBA 😀

Watched some of his highlights, he’s insanely dominant at his level. Looks easy for him. When playing against competition at a higher level he still looks very comfortable, especially playing for Britain’s u-18 team. He’s arguably one of Englands top prospects. We will have to see how it translates to American college ball but he reminds me of a taller Mballa, has a ton of size

You can't read much into any exhibition game, but margin with Syracuse was 15, so Daemen certainly not a pushover for a D2 program.

BG just lost to a D2 team so I’m not too worried. Daemen is also very senior laden with a ton of experience. They played Cuse very well for a while. Also Cuse lost to lemoyne in an exhibition the year they went to the final four. Exhibition games are times to try new lineups, plays and get freshman some time.

I’ll save the majority of my thoughts until the regular season. I don’t expect much from this team other than to improve as time goes on. They have talent so if they can stick together for the next couple years we may have a pretty scary team to come

Three visits down, one more to Colorado St.  For what it is worth he looks happiest in pics during UB visit (at least if you ask me).   It would be great to get a commit next month.  Fingers crossed.

He’s liked a few UB basketball posts on twitter since his visit as well if that means anything
