  1. Here is an interesting rooting guide: http://barttorvik.com/bubble-guide.php?team=Buffalo
  2. I’d like to say yes, but then I start thinking... doesn’t football have more players and coaches and personalities to recruit and manage? Regardless of record, maybe the job of a head FB coach is just more demanding than a head BB coach?
  3. Many weeks I'd agree with UB92, but... this week, a bye week, I agree with rma. I'd think a two win team should be able to jump a one win team. And, we don't control everyone's schedules.
  4. Tops of the day / night average ranking. * Monday night includes the 9K NIU playoff game.
  5. Not really, I understand that that is more difficult for families. I was just sharing what I found. This year is proving that people will come out at any time. So far we’ve seen... 9 games averaging 4689. 5 weekday games averaging 3946. (one was a day game, another was a snow day) 3 weekend day games averaging 5426. (one drew over 6k) 1 weekend night game which drew 6193.
  6. 34 games drew less that 1500. 21 were on a weekday. 10 were on a weekend day. 3 were on a weekend night.
  7. 15 more have drawn between 5 & 6k. 4 were on weeknights. 5 were on weekend days. 6 were on weekend nights.
  8. 15 games have drawn over 6000. 3 were on weeknights. 5 were on weekend days. 7 were on weekend nights.
  9. It's clear that ranking, and snowstorms impact attendance, but what else? Are more tickets sold in February, than are sold in December? Do more people attend a Saturday afternoon game, or a Tuesday evening game? I looked at the UB Men's Basketball attendance for all home games played in Alumni Arena going back to the start of the 2001-2002 season, to see if there was anything to learn. And, here it is: 245 Total games, with an Average attendance of 3055. 3 Weekday day games, with an Average attendance of 1873. 115 Weekday night games, with an Average attendance of 2724. 69 Weekend day games, with an Average attendance of 3198. 58 Weekend night games, with an Average attendance of 3604. (You guessed it, Mon, Tue, Wed & Thur are Weekdays. But, you might not guess that I used a start time of 4:30 as the barrier between Day and Night.)
  10. Regarding the rising tide; BSU isn’t the only program we should be questioning. Miami has been sinking like a stone too.
  11. Any value in adding a note whenever a player has fouled out? Meaning, those combinations are no longer available. It might add to the reason why certain (less desirable?) combos were used.
  12. Regarding shooting 75% from the charity strip. Sounds good, doesn’t it? The reality though, is that before the Ball State game, UB was shooting 70%. The Bulls have only shot 71% or better for the year seven times. ‘05-‘06 tops the list, at 75.1%.
  13. A few days ago, Nevada had several Q4 games left, and UB had none. Now, they each have a couple. Boooo
  14. A: power outage = longer UB commercials = good B: other commercials are about downed power lines = comical
  15. If it's gonna happen, halftime is the best time for it
  16. bull_trojan has even more combinations to track. Unrelated to Dom, but I might track the number of games each player wears the same sneakers. I feel like most players are on their 3rd or 4th pair of the season already. Seems fun, but excessive...
  17. Wow, I was thinking, 'why mention Johnson's injury status, when Graves is the one who plays', but here we are, and Dom is in the game !
  18. Since 2002, the top three are; 4417 in '05, 4280 in '06 and 3791 in '17. I haven't found any earlier stats.
  19. Here it is again, in numeric format: This would raise the season average up to 5230. Edit: March 8th is a Friday.
  20. Correct. I’m worried that even winning out might not be enough. Given the overall ranking of the opposition. Granted, Nevada’s opposition is even worse than UB’s.
  21. Does that stretch back to when UB broke their undefeated conference run?
  22. Fair point. I realize I sounded like a hypocrite, replacing a current player bias with a player I watched bias. In truth however, I was too busy with my own sport to attend more than a few other sporting events. I’ve seen much more of Watt, than I have of Young. My vote was mostly based on a comparison of 1900 Mid-Con points vs. 1050 MAC points. Having seen one of the players live was just a fun footnote.
  23. I'm not worried about staying ranked this week... I'm worried about staying ranked after only beating Q3 teams for the rest of the season.
