John Beilein made the jump from Canisius to Richmond and he's a native Western New Yorker. Not sure what the finances were. Then he went to West Virginia and is now, of course, at Michigan. Oats has been great for UB and I hope he sticks around for a few more years, However, we shouldn't be surprised if he flies the coop. I believe that he'll leave with a competent successor in place.

Nick Perkins was quoted as saying that they’re not always going to shoot well but they can play defense and rebound. This was a team (St Francis) without 3 of their top players which still managed to out-rebound the Bulls. It’s still early. Hopefully they can shoot better today and knock off the Mountaneers.

Buffalo again hosts DI Northeast XC Regionals at Audubon. Last year the winds made it feel like Siberia. Today the winds will be pedestrian at under 20 mph (but you never know with the gusts). It will actually feel cold though because it’s going to rain and the temperature will range from the mid 30s to the low 40s. The course already is saturated so it will be muddy. I’m taking an umbrella. Go Bulls!

I subscribe to ESPN insider. The magazine immediately goes in the recycling bin. I rarely log in, but like to check scores of college football and basketball games. If I had to pay another $5 a month to watch games that I couldn’t get otherwise, I would probably do it. Sounds like I won’t have to though.
