  1. An old guide to the (it will always be Air Canada) Centre in Toronto sets minimum rental rate for public events at Air Canada Centre is $25,000 or 18 percent of the net ticket proceeds (whichever is higher). Tack on 42k in estimated expenses. Capacity is 19,800. If you sold out with $30 CAD tickets: Ticket Revenue = 594,000 Rental rate 18% = 106,920 Expenses = 42,000 Confetti clean up fee = 4,000 (lets treat ourselves) Parking concessions etc = 0 (house keeps it) UB profit = 441,080 CAD = 332,407 USD If the baseline was to make 200k USD, you'd have to either sellout (19,800) @ $19 CAD OR sell at least 12,500 at $30 CAD both seem do-able. I'd imagine Keybank rental rates are similar...
  2. UB #1 in Game Atmosphere, is pretty cool.
  3. If the coach cant improve the level of talent, so he has to cling to the kids who signed to play for Jeff Quinn, then our problems are bigger than KJ 'Oscorp' Osborn.
  4. So in a two years after his RS Junior season, Charlie Jones goes to Clemson. Yes I will be saying the same. We'll have had 4 recruiting classes to get a guy with more upside than Charlie Jones. That's the goal of recruiting, to get players better than the ones you already have. If Charlie gets his degree he won't impact our APR. I won't be mad he redshirted a year because he was a freshman and he wasn't going to get any playing time anyway over Anthony Johnson and KJ Osborn. And yes, if you in 2022 want to take a don't wanna be here Charlie Jones and put him up against my (current High School Junior) to be recruited to UB later who is all about the Bulls, I'll beat you 99 out of 100 times in 2022.
  5. Im just saying. You can have a team of 4 stars that dont want to be here and I'll take a team of 3 stars that want to be here. I think my 3's would beat your 4's 99 times out of 100. Charlie Jones #1 WR. Antonio Nunn #2 Isaish King with the speed i've been hearing about for 3 years #3 LETS EAT.
  6. Do you want a player here who doesn't want to be here?
  7. Not bad. https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/ncaaf/2019/01/08/re-rank-clemson-tops-final-college-football-list-130-teams/2474315002/
  8. NIU's Rod Carey interviewing for Temple. If he gets it, Lance will be 4th longest tenured coach in the MAC Those 4 have coached their teams for a combined 28 seasons, are 118-106 in MAC games, have 5 Division Championships, 0 MAC Championships and a 4-10 Bowl Record. Removing Solich, the #2-#4 tenured coaches have 14 seasons, are 48-64 in MAC games, have 1 Division Championship, 0 MAC Championships and a 0-4 Bowl Record.
  9. Interesting story on the costs to go from Club to D1 hockey, and UNLV's efforts to do so. https://www.reviewjournal.com/sports/sports-columns/ed-graney/unlv-hockey-club-desperate-for-money-ncaa-division-i-status-1566599/
  10. I gotta imagine you're thinking about your future during those final games of the season: the desire to make plays to prove your worth adds pressure, while the knowledge that an injury may end your dreams becomes a distraction, combined this could lead to some bad decision making. This could possibly explaining finishing with 4 TDs and 4 INTs after starting 24 TDs to 8 INTs. Remember Mack was effectively a non-factor in the Potato Bowl, so I don't think you should put more stock into your last impression, vs the overall season body of work.
  11. I know in some cases it takes a full year to recover from a knee injury, his year would have been September 23, 2018. From his injury till the 1 year anniversary, 9 runs in 8 games (including sacks), After the anniversary, 53 runs in 10 games (including sacks) Look at Carson Wentz, he's just about at a year and still not what he was before he left. Leaving school, he can focus on rehab and building up his leg strength and focusing on his throwing, rather than working on his graduate studies. Good decision.
  12. I think despite, we stay at 20 or go 19 at best. It's just that time of the year.
  13. WVU had their chances against TTU but ultimately couldnt close. If WVU could close tho, both us and TTU would have an extra quality loss, so I'm glad they can't close.
  14. It could be a disaster, do you release you're entire recruit class, or do you hold them hostage? But nice for them, they made 6.5 million in buyouts in 4 weeks.
  15. I reject this. He didn't leave UB and go nowhere, he was an assistant at Alabama, he could have run that circuit and probably gotten a better job, but seems to me he just wanted to be back home. I'm upset for him that he didn't get a chance for 1 more season to be the winningest coach in UB history, (lord knows I dislike the man who sits #1 on that list, and hope that Nate stays long enough to knock him off) I think killer instinct is so important at this level, we're taught to just win, but at this level, it's not worth winning if you can't win big. Reggie, a son of the city of good neighbors i think is too nice, while Hurley I think was embarrassed to be at UB and a 5 point win wasn't enough, he wanted to dominate. Nate has the desire to dominate, with a more polished demeanor, best of both worlds.
  16. I might be moving back to North OC soon, if so UB Basketball Socal watch party this spring?
  17. Reggie will never get the credit he deserves for what he did... ultimately I think Hurley will get more credit, for winning the 1 game Reggie couldn't despite the Hurley teams being kinda undisciplined and underperforming. But the foundation of Reggie + the clout of Hurley x the inspired Assistant Coach hire = this amazing team.
  18. Main Street Sign Trophy would be A lot of fun. UB wins, paint it Blue, Canisius wins paint it Gold.
  19. And he's gone back to the U as HC Temple back to the carousel
  20. The "I'm not going to dignify that with an answer" & sassy look was pretty on brand Reggie for me. I love it, hope he turns it around in MaaaaC play.
  21. The Bagman is a Perkins stan, he'll be back with some big man $$$ after Perk graduates.
