Have to add, that was some of the worst officiating I've ever seen. Went both ways and on a day it was called tight it was good to see we answered the call at the line.

Phew, some lucky shots by Toledo to open up, a slow start, still not fully firing on all cylinders (Harris) and we win on the road to a 20-4 team. A huge win. It gets easier on paper but at the same time a loss from here on out looks that much uglier on our resume. Let's keep this train rolling and turn it on full blast come March. Go Bulls!

Not to add to his pressures but my expectations will be heavily dependent on Harris's first couple of shots. If he gets his stroke back I'll feel good about our chances. If not, I will expect a struggle. He put up 34 last time against them.

I always just grab tix at the Q from the UB desk. No worries of a sellout and after a day or so I usually get student ticket pricing.

Money would be much better spent on an upgraded practice facility. Alumni Arena is perfectly fine as a MAC arena and having a top notch practice facility in line with the new field house for the football team would do so much more for drawing recruits. We would have to perform near the level we currently are for another decade with a move to a bigger conference to really justify a new arena. Or maybe Khalil Mack will decide to throw money at us.

Those most frustrating thing about so many of those turnovers was that we kept needlessly forcing ourselves into pressure. That backcourt violation a perfect example. Would like another 30 pt win but I'll settle for any win.

Another game I just pray we don't embarrass ourselves by laying an egg. Just play our game and we should be fine. For all the defensive accolades they get we are pretty much dead even with them (29th v 31th per Kenpom efficiencies). They have no offense so unless they get especially hot and all our shooters catch whatever Harris has then we should be good.

I'd say effort/awareness pretty much summed it up. No Perkins, Harris shooting funk and CJ injury don't help. We can still pull this off though.

Yeah, he's built to play the college game as a freshman. There's no reason he can't be a contributor come March but definitely rough around the edges.

Over/under on how much time Perkins misses? I'm praying it's only a couple weeks.

Ice cold and sluggish. Usually someone steps up but that just hasn't happened yet. Still a half to play and I think we will find our rhythm but I really hope we don't lay an egg this early in conference play.

Toledo's strength of schedule may be starting to show up a bit but man, this is a weird feeling for me as a sports fan. I really think the sky is the limit with this team. I've never supported a team in any sport that has done so much in such little time. These are special times. I keep waiting for that big disappointment and aside from a freakish night for Howard, we keep delivering. Keep it up Bulls, glad that Harris has found himself too.

It was good to see Harris start to find his stroke. I do hope Segu and Willaims have a bigger impact come MAC play, we will need all hands on deck come March. 62% from 3, 80% in the second half. That just doesn't happen, we caught them at a bad time. I'm just as optimistic as I was before this game going into MAC play.

That was a career game for Howard. We played him well but nobody in the country was gonna stop him tonight. Hopefully we don't stumble against Canisius and we run the MAC. Ball state and Toledo will be tough games and the MAC as a whole is up.

Truly a case of one player making the difference. We played them pretty evenly but Howard just took over and could not miss. An exceptional game from a great player, I wouldn't look too down on it despite that scoreline.

Yeah, we had a sequence where we pulled down 2 or 3 offensive rebounds and forced tough shots inside when we had free looks from 3. If we play our game we got this. All they really had was that one hot streak from deep.

Not that it was ever that meaningful and is now officially obsolete but we are #5 in RPI, 2 spots ahead of Duke.

It's only December but this feels like March. I've never been so pumped for a non MAC/NCAA tourney game.
