Who was let go?
-
the bar is so low to get 6 wins, no doubt we should go 3-1 in non conference then 3 wins in the mac

Good news, I think we lose our best player. But I am very positive we will beat NIU and another MAC school for 4 wins -

Reggie has proven his coaching prowess at multiple D1 programs. Bringing in top recruits like Turner and Idbihi, and nearly guiding them to the NCAA Tournament. Despite the heartbreak of falling short, his impact on the team is undeniable. According to Sports Reference, top 3 worse teams 1991-92 1998-99 2023-24 According to Massey, top 3 worse teams 2024 1992 1993 -

This is the worse Buffalo team ever or at least I’ve seen since early 90s. I think the ‘92 or ‘00 team would beat this team. I don’t think we have anyone that could start for another mac team. -
The bar is set incredibly low for MAC schools, with a schedule that only demands a 3-1 non-conference record and 3-5 MAC wins. Mo's 10-14 record in the conference. But you have to beat the FCS school. UB should be 6-8 wins every year. All the MAC schools are running into the same issues as us. We play #127 and #131 next year. I hope we can win both.
-
So we're hiring a retread if those are the 3 candidates Tim Lester 6 games over .500 in the MAC, Mo was 4 games under? Pete Lembo was 6 games over .500. Polian was 4 games under .500 in MWC. Please anyone but Polian.

Not a lot of jobs open. I'd be doing cartwheels to keep my job
-
Both Sabol and Bennett are top 150 freshmen. Boldin, #52 3pt shooter and Sabol higher on the analytic side
-
I assume the current staff is under contract?
-
I asked in another thread, will we need to retain the entire staff?
-
Case in point....9th year? https://sports.yahoo.com/miami-te-cam-mccormick-to-return-for-a-ninth-season-of-college-football-in-2024-184326403.html?

I hope it's Jim Zebrowski or Dino Barbers

I believe the direction college sports is taking might make me lose interest. The frequent turnover, with players transferring to different schools every year, doesn't sit well with me. While I understand the idea of leaving if the coach departs or is fired, or if you want to play your last year as a graduate student at a new school, I'm not a fan of players switching to three schools in four years or utilizing a seventh year of eligibility. If we lose Boldin and Sabol, I'm probably going to just watch the pros but maybe that is just me.
-
Me? I disagreed on the politics issue but he's right about the lifers at UB if that is who you're referring too.
-
I have a feeling Boldin won't be back IMO. Unfortunately, this reminds me a lot of the era of Arkeilpane.
-
Yes, the board was very toxic during the BullsEye era. I'll try to keep up and average almost a post per day.
-
Well, said. We still have people from when Bill Maher was the interim AD. Why leave?
-
Does anyone think we'll need big NLI to keep Boldin and Sabol?

Athletic Director Seat - Hot, Warm, Cold
TheCommish replied to Sportsfan's topic in General Discussions
The truth about UB athletics is that we serve as a stepping stone, with athletics not taking precedence. We don't allocate funds to someone who isn't actively coaching or directing, we're not Texas A&M. Alnutt will remain until he secures a D1 Deputy job or another AD position. Classes continue in Alumni Arena during games, highlighting that athletics isn't the top priority. If athletics were a priority, dance programs would be relocated to a more suitable space outside the athletics arena.
