  1. The biggest issue is the lack of ability/talent/skill to score Yesterday's game really highlighted the current issues, before we knew it the bulls were down 20pts. It wasn't because Western Kentucky was doing anything special it was because UB couldn't hit open shots I think the in game/practice/prep coaching is there I see the ball movement on offense and much better spacing than the first few games, on defense I see the communication the effort and defense switching from man to zone and generally seems to work. This is all coaching It really comes down to talent and were that falls on GH3 shoulders I wouldn't know because it's all recruiting and retention and a lot of other things very well could have played a part in this
  2. We get the mystery that is James Graham next season But for real he would have been a nice add this season
  3. Iupui is division 1 they play in the horizon league - blocker starts averages near 30 minutes a game and about 8 ppg
  4. A lot of their shots are prayers from deep but they also miss an insane amount of wide open looks Wku stopped even bothering to close out on shots, it's laughable
  5. 4-30 from 3, you're gonna get run out of the gym shooting like that
  6. They have to figure something out offensively, if they could actually knock down an open shot this is a competitive game Pretty sure the score would be the same if wku was only able to play in the offensive side of the court
  7. The offense remains dreadful Have had plenty of open shots, but can't make them
  8. This is definitely a winnable game based on the past 3 games Really like to see them play with the intensity of the last 3 which may be difficult since those games were against ranked team, rival, power conference team I'm optimistic I think they win this one... possibly easy
  9. Yeah the defensive improvement in the last 3 games has been huge I think once Adams gets back the offensive numbers will improve as well Overall I'm optimistic with what I've seen game over game hopefully that trend continues
  10. You can change the dates of stats at the top of the page, it's in where you can choose conference/team etc. the dates are defaulted at November 1st to April or May I just updated the dates and returned just the last 3 games compared to every other team in the countrys games in the same span (I'll provide screenshots tomorrow when I have more time if you'd like) I never realized it had the ability to do this until I was boarded and just messing around with the options
  11. For reference ub's bartorvik ranking in the last 3 games is 299 (11/26/23 - 12/8/23) so moving in the right direction
  12. I think in buffalo you can get the top 75 year in year out rankings but you need a coach that's willing to stay or really wants to build something Toledo is a good example of this the coach has stayed and the program has really started to take off with their recruiting I think UB has a good coach in George halcovage, just starting slower than many want and or expected
  13. It was that first four or five minutes of the second half where butler decided to speed everything up and UB wasn't ready for it In that time UB reverted back to one on one basketball where everyone tries to do everything themselves and they get lost with their defensive assignments (seems to happen as the players get tired, players don't move as much offensively and try/hope to pass guys off to other tired guys defensively)
  14. Still like the progress, slowly coming together Adams coming back will be a nice boost Team has figured out a rotation, but where was kayne Jones in the second half. He should be playing more even if it means going small with 4 guards (especially with Adams out)
  15. What happened, no communication no talking, no working, just watching hoping someone makes a play one on one Hell just saw all 5 guys avoid picking up the ball handler
  16. UB needs to play at their steady methodical pace, going quick when the lane is actually there
  17. Butler changed up their pace and it absolutely put ub in a blender The speed up got UB to get back into their playground offense
  18. I haven't paid enough attention to it but 100 percent agree it should be something he gets away from
  19. Most games I would agree, but his replacements for the first time all year were playing well (Williamson and mcviegh) and getting them some confidence will go a long way
  20. The only let down was the last possession, need to get a basket there at the end Gotta get a 3 to go down and this will be a game
  21. Actually had a lead before the first TV timeout for a moment The little things
  22. I'll keep watching, one of these games it's going to all come together Turnovers will be kept in check Poor shooting stretches won't happen Easy baskets defensively will be defended
