I expect our new coaches to fill in the holes and bring in quality players. Did Lance promise Trevor that he would bring his brothers in too? Isn't that what Trevor was looking for?

Might as well go to Baylor to play with Gall. None of the rest are any better, except maybe Florida. I guess we should be happy that we are a good minor league preparatory school that can take these 2 star recruits and turn them into hot commodities. Although the recent transfers and their launch to the NFL hadn’t been much to write about. Good luck to him if he goes. He played a vital role in our recent success. Hopefully the next Novitsky is in our pipeline or joining our ranks this summer. Nobody is irreplaceable.

We now have our 10 assistant coaches. OL and DL coaches just announced. Both have impressive pedigrees at lower levels and Arkansas St for the DL. Hopefully they are prepared to bring this level of success to UB. Pretty impressive group from what I see. Let’s hope they get they guys in track and hit the ground running. Let’s go Bulls!!

So of all that action two may have improved their level of competition? Not very impressive.

This was one thing I thought was missing from the LL regime. Bringing in the former players and build that connection from the past and future. Licata is a great start to this.

Our Special Coordinator is now on the coaching roster. I’m hopeful that adding that position will strengthen than group. You need someone to focus on those specialist and not just have them be an afterthought. LL staff seemed to treat it as unimportant but we need that unit to be strong against better competition. Could mean the difference between winning and losing.

Sounds like a fun season.

Hopefully that plays well. Just shows the shape we are in. Previous years with this shakeup at this time, we would have been in the Duke (3.5) or Connecticut (2.5) range! Coastal is at 10, that will be a tough matchup.

Agreed and both of those guys deserve all of the credit for sure. Each could have gone to "bigger and better". I respect that group a lot.

The NCAA is a shit show. That won’t be a good solution either because kids on the cusp will likely stop going to mid-majors. Sounds like a band-aid not a solution.

I agree wholeheartedly. Too many “influencers” and hangers on around people and too easy to access information (some good some inaccurate). Literally thousands in the football portal. Like a giant game of musical chairs. in this situation it’s possible UB wasn’t enamored with his tweets etc. Perhaps they were preparing a much larger statement especially given the circumstances. It could be they felt this was yet another breach of how we do things and team first. They may have saw that as a young man that may not have learned from his mistakes. Hopefully he finds a fit and can be a productive player and member of society. Don’t follow in the footsteps of his former teammate and throw his future away.

The new Eddie Wilson?

Maybe our new OL coach has some guys in mind. All-American OL from Marshall entered today, but looks like Florida St is the front runner for him.

I check it almost daily. I’m hoping now that school is over and our staff is 100% kids will shit or get off the pot. Seeing other offers so our staff is obviously doing some recruiting. I’ve see a few players start following the OL and WR coaches

Would be a good replacement for Wilson.

What an insane number! Free agency is alive and well in the NCAA. Recruiting is now a 4-6 year adventure with these guys. Will become an annual ritual to keep players, especially if they play above their recruiting grade out of high school. Mid-major football May look very different in a few years. You will need to find hidden gems every single year.

Welcome back young man. Make the most of the opportunity you have been given. Not just on the court, but also in the classroom and in your life beyond basketball.

My issue isn’t if Lance can do it or not. I look at the track record of Kansas and their unrealistic expectations. They won’t give time. If he doesn’t go above .500 in 2 maybe 3 years he’s gone. Higher profile coaches have been axed in that time. Kansas needs to allow what Buffalo did for Lance, give him time to change culture and perception. I just don’t see it happening and I wanted better for him to be honest. I also think his loyalty to his coaches (while I personally applaud it), he may have been better served to grab some guys that have been in the deep end of the pool to help him navigate an environment like he is going into. Hopefully he will prove me wrong but that conference, while not what it once was, is going to be a gauntlet.
