  1. This did not age well. Big 10 looking to start season October 24, 2020. https://sports.yahoo.com/sources-big-ten-reverses-course-will-play-college-football-this-fall-125509398.html https://twitter.com/DanWetzel/status/1306216552249856000
  2. The MAC could possibly start an 8 game schedule in February. Very early discussions. https://www.toledoblade.com/sports/college/2020/09/15/February-start-date-among-ideas-MAC-considers-for-football-season/stories/20200915131 Article is behind a new pay wall for the Toledo Blade. Scroll fast and skim.
  3. He has been released on his own recognizance. There were two charges. Assault in the second degree a Class D felony. The second is criminal possession of weapon. A class A misdemeanor. A class D Felony has a maximum sentence of 7 years. The minimum is anywhere from 1 year t to two and one third years. A Class A misdemeanor has a maximum of 364 days. In situations like this sentences will normally run concurrently although consecutive terms are possible. His next court date is October 15, 2020. As of now his case is being heard in North Tonawanda City Court. If the Niagara County District Attorney decides to move forward with the felony charge the case will have to be presented to a Grand Jury. If indicted the case will move to either Niagara County Supreme Court or Niagara County Court.
  4. I guess somebody did something to have an ice cream named after them.
  5. They are likely to vote no. Both Michigans, Maryland, Rutgers, Minnesota and Wisconsin are alegedly no. The push to play is Ohio State, Nebraska Iowa and Purdue (led by a former GOP governor of Indiana. The rest are most likely no votes.
  6. According to the Game Book (aka stats) he did make it onto the field. Probably on Special Teams.
  7. Depends on the terms of the contract. Most contracts are not guaranteed.
  8. I signed up and am considering doing 240 K over the two days. Of course this will be in my car. regardless of how I do it is still the money to support UB Athletics.

  10. Unless the NCAA makes a rule change the answer has to be yes. Teams need to play 25 games to be eligible for the tournament. So that means they will need to add at least 2 games to the schedule (conference champ plays three more games in Cleveland).
  11. UB is seeking to raise $1,000,000.00 to cover COVID losses. First 500 people to date at least $50 will get a UB mask. (No more than 499 left) http://secure.campaigner.com/csb/Public/show/duzr-29xusk--rct0h-7deiney7
  12. Well said gentlemen. Proud to be a Bull with all of you.

  14. From today's Buffalo News: https://buffalonews.com/sports/college/ub-athletics-anticipates-1-million-in-covid-19-related-costs/article_bd2658f2-e635-11ea-b02c-cb151bdf45b5.html
  15. This is much more complicated than you think. If people stay for an extra year, how many new scholarships can you bring in? Do you have extra scholarships for 5 years? Do people automatically get a 6thyear to play their 4th season? Depending on the answers this can be brutally expensive. Also why are the students at any school? Are they there to get a degree and possibly start a masters or are they there to stay "forever" and to play a sport? I am in the degree column. How many of the students need another to show they can go pro? If after 4/5 years they do not know, that 6th year is not going to get them noticed.
  16. If lucky, my guess is conference only and no games until January. A lot will depend on how Ohio, Michigan, Illinois and Indiana are controlling the virus. If there are travel restrictions UB may not be able to play. Key to watch is Syracuse, if the ACC does not come to its senses. What has to be done for their games with schools on the travel restrictions list.
  17. In addition to Columbus good bye College Park, Piscataway, Ann Arbor, State College, Iowa City Evanston, Madison, Lincoln, Champaign, St. Paul, East Lansing, Bloomington and West Lafayette. Now does anyone know where the title of the thread came from?
  18. Just a reminder it is probably a good time to drop it if you have it for UB games. Probably nothing until 2021 in any sports.
  19. A decision will be coming shortly from NCAA.
  20. Dan Patrick reporting that Big 10 voted 12-2 against fall football (Nebraska and Iowa voted to play). Both Big 10 and Pac-12 to announce cancellations tomorrow.
