I believe once they are officially in the portal the team is allowed to offer that scholarship to another player. Whether or not the team is actively trying to re-recruit that player would be the consideration.

Players often commit to coaches, not schools. When that side of the commitment leaves it's not really surprising to see players move with it. Sucks but this season is going to be "patchwork" no matter what.

This year will be interesting. I have high expectations for him as a coach because I think this is an incredible hire. Yet at the same time he’s coming into an incredibly difficult position. Either way I’m excited for the future under Coach Linguist!

It's May 4th. Pretty much the entire staff just left. 3 players (including 2 All-MAC selections) just entered the portal. An anonymous player was quoted saying "things are about to get real interesting". It kinda feels like a mess...
