  1. I’m officially taking a break from watching this team closely...
  2. I'll do a group by with people that still think we're going to win it all in Cleveland! Ok, I'll stop - I just use this board for cathartic release.
  3. They have 5 losses, won 8 straight and have another HaRd To GeT MAC wIn On ThE rOaD 🤷🏻‍♂️
  4. We've had struggles finding passing lanes against "traditional" man defenses. This is the time for JW to show that he can prepare his team offensively. If we drop this game the season is in real jeopardy (I know, I know, you all want to give us slack for rebuilding but I'm sorry, it's the MAC and we're trying to be a legit program).
  5. Hey, at least we're on the road 🤷🏻‍♂️
  6. We also don’t have a lock down at the other end...
  7. Well Graves posted his 🔥 stats to Instagram. I guess if the team is over another loss, at home, in a pivotal game I should be too!
  8. Did we though? We blew a lead at home and lost.. What about this team makes people feel like consistencies are being ironed out and that we have a chance in Cleveland? We’re a middle of the road MAC team that plays well every few games but lacks leadership and “it factor”. I just don’t see this turning out as another trip to the Tourney. Do we even win a home playoff game?
  9. I think it's critical that we, for a change, get out to a good start. We'll likely have a large and ready-to-explode crowd on hand. If we start off slow we lose that advantage. Let's turn this into a replay of the Kent blackout game!
  10. Limit Frye. In BG's 5 losses Frye shot the following numbers from 3: 2-9 0-3 1-9 0-7 2-6 I know that Justin Turner's absence contributed to those losses but a streaky shooter like Frye can make or break a team's momentum.
  11. Can we please win an odds-favored game at home?
  12. https://buffalonews.com/2020/01/29/felisha-legette-jack-approaches-300th-win-reflects-on-path-shes-taken-to-ub/
  13. All the more reason to fill the role of Hunter Jenkins...
  14. Just a little icing on the cake, that's now 6 straight against Zippy Doo Da
  15. I'll continue my trend of over-reacting with every win/loss. The season ended (again) after the Kent State loss and it's back on after getting a huge win at Akron. IMO we need to win-out at home to have a chance at winning this conference and continuing our run into March Madness. BGSU is led by a really strong trio of Turner, Plowden and Frye (man, do I hate watching him play). That's a lot to handle for a team that has struggled against star players and with overall team defense -- can't exactly double up with 3 really solid players like this. They don't get a ton of rebounding outside of Plowden -- who can be a monster on any given night. Bulls will NEED to limit TOs. If we can rebound and shoot FTs with the focus that we did against Akron we can win this thing at home and maintain contact with the top of the league. A win puts us right in it as Akron/Kent are facing off on the same night. GO BULLS
  16. Haha take that Jeseph, eat your words!
  17. While I wouldn't call it hostile. Their crowd responds to runs, they are a team built to put up a ton of points quickly (3s). I absolutely agree with your points about 3pt defense and when to look for it. Also: I think we need to consider badly-timed and/or forced 3pt attempts as turnovers in this case. I can't count how many times a bricked 3 has led to an opposing 3pt shot to start or continue a run/momentum swing.
  18. I have a feeling our run of dominance in the Ohio Conference has Akron pissed off. They might plan this one with something to prove.
  19. I definitely agree. I think although (in many games) assists have been there, heads-down drives have led to some terrible passes/turnovers. There's also just less flow in the offense despite playing a less run-and-gun style. Maybe I'm conflating poorly structured offense and sloppy play with selfish tendencies 🤷🏻‍♂️
  20. “Selfish ball, from the jump,” UB guard Davonta Jordan said. “Our defense, it translated to our offense, and we weren’t playing too good of defense, so we weren’t playing good enough offense.” (link)
  21. Can we defend one of the top 3pt shooting teams in the country?
  22. So player turnover leads to (self-proclaimed) "lackadaisical and selfish play"? How is this still a pattern with this team? How many games does it take to find motivation?
