Definitely, no. Have we not been favored in all of our home losses? When the game is close at home we don’t make the shot(s) to close it out. This team has no identity, leader, or toughness. we’ll have a winning MAC record but I now feel like that’s the ceiling for this season. please prove me wrong.

With no reason other than assumption, I'd say that's Jamie Quarles. I think we need somebody who is mostly dedicated to being on the recruiting path, though.

I can't imagine we want to dig too deep into HJ's departure but I'm uneasy about the fact that we haven't replaced him...

After a hot start Kent is coming in riding a 3 game losing streak including their most recent loss at-home to NIU (something we begrudgingly share...). There's no doubt that the Flashes are going to come into this game hungry for a win. The Bulls are going to have to stay focused and play as a team against a usually physical, team that can't afford a 4 game losing streak. Is Graves back? Will we see the star potential of 'Nate continue to rise? Which Johnson will we get? I'd like to see an all-out defensive effort that limits the streaky scoring ability of Kent's guards. GO BULLS

People point out positives and negatives throughout the ebbs and flows of games (and seasons). It's a forum, people are going to disagree... and that's fine. There's no reason for it to always turn into a "who is the right kind of fan" discussion here...

I think I mentioned earlier in this thread that I felt like the team lacked that insatiable desire to win, they didn't/don't seem to have that killer instinct that we had under Oats. I hope that a little win streak is reminding that team how much more fun it is to win, and with CMU, to win handily (as a result of defensive effort). I still think there's talent on this squad and that it can show up under Whitesell if he gets the team buzzing with this sort of thinking.

WMU comes to Alumni sitting at 2-3 in MAC play but beat Kent and have been in every game except for a 15pt loss in Akron. Can't say that I've watched them play but Flowers scores 18+ a game and over the years Bulls teams have been susceptible to big games for individual players. Hope to see our defensive trend of-late continue as wins are going to get harder to come by when we play some of the top of the conference. GO BULLS

This. I see this as a challenge for our offense as much as our defense. We have struggled defensively but how much have that has been poor shot selection and/or sloppy passes putting us in bad positions?

Can the Bulls take down the first of 2 directional Michigans before facing a talented Kent team?

Off-nights, are part of growth. Getting run out of gyms by mediocre teams is what led me to worry and come down hard on the staff. Glad to see him contribute but he also didn't travel with the team for 2 games so there's a chance that the staff was frustrated with him as well...?
