  1. How on earth can talent look at UB and say it wants to come here right now? Maybe because he sees how bad our run game is and knows he can shine? Maybe that’s our way forward, bring in recruits that can make the difference where we currently lack.
  2. Not a great second half, but got the job done 2-0
  3. Half time vs Akron and the game could not possibly be going any better. Katie Krohn has stolen the show with 2 goals off of 7 (yes, 7) shots. A complete all around masterclass so far, UB has created numerous scoring chances, while keeping the hosts from a taking single shot.
  4. In the ncaa women’s soccer RPI, buffalo is the highest ranked at 59, with the next closest in conference being western Michigan at 101. Akron comes in at 268, only marginally better than last place in the MAC (EMU) at 269.
  5. Soccer opens conference play tonight at Akron at 7pm on ESPN+. The Zips come in with a 2-5 non conference record, while the bulls come in 3-1-3. Akron played a relatively soft non-conference schedule, with 0 power 5 matches, while the bulls played very meaningful games, dropping a closely contested game vs Pitt 2-1, drawing 1-1 with a tough UConn side in Connecticut, and an impressive 2-1 upset of Ohio state on the road. Sharing one common opponent in Niagara (away), both teams came out with a win. Akron defeated NU 1-0, while the bulls beat the purple eagles 2-0. Akron and niagara played a pretty even game, nearly tying in all relevant statistics, while the bulls doubled niagara in shots and SOG. UB is a very good team with school record talent, their main problem comes in front of goal. The bulls struggle to capitalize on well-created chances, a change in fortune could see close games turn to blowouts. UB currently owns a 3 game win streak over Akron, with eyes on Buffalo to take charge of the MAC again this year. Buffalo’s Katie Krohn is no doubt looking to add to her tally of recent goals, as she’s scored 4 of UBs 8 this season. Finishing chances will be the defining feature of this game, if buffalo hits their target they should have minimal problems. Buffalo owns every accumulative stat this season vs opponents, while the zips’ opponents often take the advantage. Some big stat disparities: Goals against: (buffalo-5, akron-14) Corner kicks: (buffalo-32, akron-17) SOG against: (buffalo-22, akron-43) The bulls notably have a potent offense when it comes to creating chances, but even more notable is their watertight defense, allowing only 5 goals and 22 SOG in 7 games, often against quality opposition. The bulls also don’t commit major fouls, receiving 2 yellow cards, while drawing 9 from opponents. All in all women’s soccer should be set up for a great conference season, with much to be excited for. They’ll be home next this Sunday against Ohio. For this game I’ll put in a prediction of a UB win, 3-1.
  6. Made second in ESPN bottom 10 (Arkansas state is first even though they won). Pretty much put the rest of the MAC in one at number 6
  7. Students both don’t know and don’t care about this place. Never heard of it from anywhere, only found it when trying to find the basketball schedule before it was released. And most students don’t care about our sports, even if they show up they don’t care to get involved outside of the game
  8. Hopefully there’s not too much aggression stemming from frustration, don’t want a hundred flags.
  9. I’ll be honest, I don’t know volleyball stats, and if they’re good or not compared to other schools. In simples terms, what is your current outlook for the season?
  10. Oh dear, this next abomination of a game is on national television
  11. Yup, FCS did it to us last year. Buffalo Bulls not Bills 😞
  12. Down 1-0 at half. Bulls are playing well in the buildup but continue to struggle in the attack. Some questionable refereeing led to a set piece goal for Cornell. A hole to dig out of but not impossible for UB as the better team.
  13. I choose to blame this loss on switching to a Coke school from Pepsi
  14. I’d settle for Ronald McDonald at this point.
  15. I don’t want to be on sports center again for this. Not again
  16. Well, that’ll about do it for attendance this year. Good luck getting students to come back after that.
  17. Happy days everyone. Just had this flash across my screen. 3-0!!!
  18. A win would be incredible for confidence. Might even be enough to earn a couple votes for top 25
  19. Nobody can tell me we didn’t have the funds for those teams when we put in a $38 million cafe among other things we don’t need.
  20. I’ll have to eat my words after something wacky happens but I wouldn’t call anyone who loses to Albany by more than 20 a quality opponent.
