  1. Tough loss, but in coach’s second season look at the improvement. They were never close to Drexel AT HOME last year, pretty sure they didn’t even score 40. Still trending up
  2. Would like the track to not be there for long
  3. Ah yes I had them backwards, my mistake
  4. Could’ve waited for the 52nd class, match his number
  5. Khalil Mack will be inducted into the UB hall of fame in 2024
  6. Game is tomorrow at 2:00 in Alumni. Past few games have shown reasons for optimism. If Adams comes back I think we’ve got a shot
  7. And if Michigan wins, they receive full MAC membership. Lots to play for for either side
  8. 3’s wouldn’t fall in the first 3/4 and we slipped behind after a good fight. Then we battled back and played well. Still taking bad shots but they look fiery
  9. And while in that dry spell, when we were like 0-10 from the arc, if even just a couple went in we’d be looking at a lead late in the game and maybe a win. Any given day
  10. I maintain my position, one dry spell where the lead opens from 6 to 20, but other than that a very tight game. Brought it to within 5 with the ball late in the game, something to be proud of, the ending difference of 13 was just from giving Butler points while desperately trying to sink late shots, was really closer than that. Yes it’s another loss, but look at our last few games. We’ve played meaningful basketball late in the game against 3 good teams. Compare that to the first few games. We’re still without Adams and don’t have a full roster. Not sure what to think about Fulcher, takes a lot of bad shots but is a good player. Overall I’m optimistic that we can win a couple games and then improve a lot next season with new recruits (ideally quality from the portal for immediate impact). Im excited, go bulls.
  11. I know this isn’t what the thread was initially talking about, but the starting QBs for Toledo (Finn) and Ohio (Rourke) have both entered the transfer portal.
  12. It’s a day for sure. Just not sure it’ll be much of a game.
  13. My favorite part is the bona students that wear basketball uniforms to games that are 10 sizes too big like it’s an nba team.
  14. Love how the Bonnies fans act like this was a huge win. We’re in a complete program rebuild with nothing to play for, and they almost let us back in the game several times. I wouldn’t be celebrating this like the biggest rival win ever, it’s a year of hiatus. Fans are way too rabid and obsessive for a team in the Atlantic 10. Come back and talk when your school gets a football team and doesn’t suck at academics
  15. There were signs for optimism. Bad first half, but in the second UB cut the lead down to like 14, then bottled a chance to make to 10 when they missed 2 ft and the possession after a technical. At that point, if they had managed to make a few more three pointers you’re looking at a close game. Not sure how to feel
  16. Stony Brook listed as 6.5 favorites. Interesting. I’d take buffalo
  17. Bonnie’s favored -10.5 in Alumni Arena. We’ll see if the progress from JMU can carry over
  18. Lost the first set 25-23, keeping the second set just as close. Good game
  19. Yeah I’m disregarding that kind of poll, hard to believe. We’ll just show them who’s boss
  20. Note Bryan Hodgson is starting 2-5, with the two wins not being against great opposition. Even with the guy everyone wanted it takes time.
  21. I guess I’m meaning coach is wanting them to learn a new style that they’re not used to. And until they’re comfortable there will be issues. Just a learning curve in trying to make them better
  22. Exactly. The only reason we didn’t see the immediate hatred for Whitesell was because the results weren’t too atrocious. But he had stars that knew how to play together. Then the team regressed and we’re left with pretty much nothing. Now we ACTUALLY have to rebuild an entire program from the ground, and people are quick to say it’s not working. No kidding, it’s easy to rebuild a team when a few seniors graduate, it’s not easy to rebuild a program when most of the team and coaching staff is gone and the team is left with no identity. Takes time, but we’re seeing good signs. I think the turnover issue stems from the new style of ball. GH3 wants to play Nova ball, but unfortunately we’re not villanova. And the teams we play press very hard, which doesn’t help. High press against a team that’s just learning to play a passing game comes with a long learning curve. I think with his style we can develop into a good team, but it’ll take some adjustment to opposition play.
