Love they were able to get into this tournament with a really strong field. It was fun playing in and winning a smaller tournament like we did this year, but win or lose it'll be fun seeing them compete with these.

This has been the best surprise in this stretch which is a pity so many others around him have been cold. His Defense has always been there in his career but a nice addition with his shooting lately.

Among other issues Id like to see those 3 things as well... D playing 40 minutes (id honestly take 30 good minutes), Harris with a big game and a nice FT %.

This post pretty much sums up their play most of the MAC schedule. Amazingly they could be undefeated despite all this too. Shows how good they are playing at maybe 2/3rds capability. Perkins has been weird this year, he needs to find it just as much as anyone to help us.

Happy they stayed at 23/25. Never thought 2 MAC losses in back to back weeks would keep us ranked had you told me that earlier in the year. Pretty cool really. But like others have said with the "bye" week even a win could see the Bulls fall

He's remembering that he used to be a scorer recently, which should be a boost to an already great offensive team once everyone is clicking again.

If they end up #25 somehow on Monday, no I wouldnt be totally shocked. But 50-50 is probably what that'll be. Id agree with that.

Pretty spot on here as well. Too much world is ending posts around here. I get it. I'm just as used to it at the sabres message boards. And expectations create even more negativity and knee jerk reactions. But the Bulls are good. The world is not over. Being unranked, so be it. It was a great ride and I still can't believe we were ever ranked this long. The two losses are exactly as you said. And they should be looked at that way. Only thing that matters is they slowly find that all around game they had before. I think they will. Lots of games left. Pretty spot on. Its such a long season. It really matters most when you come together. Ideally like the Bulls to get rolling again by mid Feb. They've had this long stretch now of jumbled inconsistent play. Really it just puts everything back into perspective. I think dropping out of the rankings is a real possibility now. And the at large again, I think we lost our last possible game for that. Meaning winning out and losing MAC final might still leave a shot. Again MAC season is so long, and such a grind. You're really not allowed to take a week or two off to find your cohesiveness as a team. This team is so good naturally that even when not playing the best, they still win games and when they lose, its close. No consolation but shows where the potential lies once they get that fire back.

Biggest MAC game yet. Been waiting for this one for what seems like forever. Would have been fun if BGSU came in without the loss but honestly all the same. We need to handle Falcons here to really get the confidence going again.

For almost 15 years I think Ive parked in the same spot, almost the closest one you can get to the front of alumni, and never been ticketed. No signs saying its not a spot either :) Lol I dnno if anyone would ever guess it

Was thinking we'd drop in the 20's as well. Team has the national respect which I love. Don't sleep on the importance of that 9 pt Kent win. People know their name, see on the road, and Kents record is good by the numbers. Helped balance things. I think if our only game was the NIU loss things might have been perceived a touch different. 18/17 very happy with that.

My guess is 22-23 as well. Kent win helps a lot of course. Had we just had 1 game this week and it was an NIU loss might be different.

This might be the craziest fact overall honestly! There was a time where I thought they were the Patriots in the MAC.

Right it wasn't perfect but you win by 9 at Kent. Thats a bounce back. still work to do but I wasn't expecting them to be right back in form. Keep working. Lots of MAC play left.

I would agree with that. Its always going to be blue tinted glasses on the UB board but this team is so deep in the sense that the entire starting 5 plus a few off the bench can bring it the entire game every night. When they are on they are so good. If these guys are motivated and playing to ability there is no reason they can't be at least Sweet 16. And no reason they can't pull a Butler or VCU and get a tad further. Cbball is such a mental grind sometimes. So many conference games in a short period. Its a battle regardless of your con. Thats why the NIU game is certainly blip if it in fact jolts the Bulls a bit and gets them motivated again. By that I mean throttle a few teams in a row like we should be. Any just in case some one doesnt want to click the link... I totally agree with Bilas here. 9. Buffalo Bulls This team is legit. With top scorer and shooter CJ Massinburg, lefty wing Jeremy Harris and super-sub Nick Perkins, the Bulls can beat anyone. Until they tripped at Northern Illinois on Tuesday, the only loss for Buffalo was at Marquette, when Markus Howard turned into a video game. The Bulls might not lose again until the postseason. If there is a non-Power 5 team (other than Gonzaga) that can reach the Final Four, look no further than Buffalo.

Like Dooley I love CBS because it has the big March Madness feel already built in. I also feel like they dont gloss over the MAC games at halftime just to talk about P5.

If the Bulls won out and lost in the MAC title game or possibly in the game before dare I say, I think At large chances are better than 50/50. I think they built up some clout and people know 1 loss in the MAC would be super impressive. But we all know this comes down to conference tourney upsets. If most tournaments fall to the favorites it certainly helps. Id say worst case scenario they can lose 1 more MAC game and lose in the title game. That would put us 29-3ish give or take a game? Bowling Green looks great right now and if they keep it up and the Bulls take 2, those end up good as well.

Earlier in the season I never thought any MAC loss wouldn't knock us out but being at 14 gives you a chance. Most of these voters don't look at anything but scores. Maybe they'll see a close 2pt loss and not give us the death penalty for it. Obviously the key is the Kent game. Again they look at scores. Beat Kent (well known MAC team to the casual voters) by 10+ there and I think we stay ranked. I dont even care if its 22-25. If they drop out oh well. Great run, now focus on playing up to your abilities. Its been a dream season, it won't ruin it if they end up not being ranked the rest of the year. Id rather see them start playing like the dominant roster they are. And if that means one more odd loss but a great feel to their game Ill take it.

Would love a real wake up call type win like that. Its ambitious as a score line but if this team comes to play and treats this like any big school, they can steamroll anyone. Hopefully they get back to that.

Pretty much spot on. MAC season is tough regardless. Gotta always be on. I think we were all hoping for zero bumps but it happened. Ive been wanting this team to get back to playing the machine they were. Killer instinct.

Matt whenever I see you post about UB sports you'd almost have me convinced this is the least fun sports year in UB history! Expectations got to you! Really though how they react to this over the next 6-8 games is key to how the mood of this season will go. I always hate the wake up call loss cliche but these guys were getting a bit on the cocky side recently. But if they get back at it now Im not upset. In the major realm of being ranked and at large bids... They are teetering. Not one more loss really. Maybe the title game max.

Refs are always shite in the MAC. Not the reason for the loss.
