I've never followed the polls or rankings much as I thought it was stupid for the most part even though it is exciting with UB being ranked. But I wouldnt put much stock in any of them because with so many rating systems now and using road wins when its convenient for them come selection Sunday they'll use whatever system they can to justify putting in the 8th place ACC team or whatever power conference school. The hipocrasy of telling us it's all about the student athlete and then 'screw' the small school student athlete all in the name of money makes me crazy.

Enrique I dont care to re hash the Reggie years but your whole post is full of excuses for Reggie. But to say Boyer and Mulkey were very solid????? They wouldnt get any playing time these days. And one thing Reggies teams never seemed to do was get better as the season wore on. Ok I'm done...let's enjoy where we are and not lament where we were.

It was discussed years ago whether Reggie would be good enough to get a head coaching job in a league higher than the MAC and he never has and never will. Case closed.

Turner Battle told me Reggie was a very good x's and o's guy. Problem was he was not a good in game coach (my words).

Reggie is clearly disturbed by the success that UB has had almost immediately from the minute he left. It's pretty clear he held the program back for years. Thank God someone had the foresight to get rid of him and they didnt accept the constant mediocrity like so many on here thought was great.

All these metrics are designed not to be fair to all but to help power conferences. They use whatever means to justify a .500 conference record for a large school. Whatever fits.....be it road wins, quad wins, rpi and even quality losses. I cant stand the b.s. they spew on selection Sunday.

I think when they talk about an at large bid they're referring to if they were 7-4 at this point an at large bid would be all but over with. Being 11-0 means now just take care of the conference and a bid is sealed.

Is anyone else surprised/disappointed in Williams? He looks mostly lost and last night (for the minute or so he played) super unathletic. I know he's a freshman but I thought he might contribute a little more even this year.

Imagine what the winning streak may become if they get past Marquette? 20-0 ? 25-0? It would be possible. They'd be top 10 in the next poll.
