UB92
Are they going to be on the hook for the 2 years they owe Bowden? Arth is not an inspired hire. I think UTC fans were not displeased to lose him. I don't know the contract details, but I would wager that, with his background, he may start out at the tail end of the MAC salary scale. And...contract details released (or implied). https://www.ohio.com/sports/20181217/university-of-akron-football-new-coach-tom-arth-will-look-north-to-help-bolster-recruiting $500,000 a year for 5 years. This would put him in the middle (i.e. median) of MAC coaches. http://sports.usatoday.com/ncaa/salaries/ He got more than I anticipated. dutchcountry7
Lance should be making double what he is making. Expect him to be gone in the next few years. I don’t think Buffalo will be able to afford him.
rma
This is where Alnutt needs to advocate to the University for some money. We have proven that we can have success in multiple sports - do we linger around in the MAC or push for something better? This is regardless of what happens with Leipold - right now I think we give him a small raise and maybe another year or two. I'm not impressed with the coaching, especially given the talent we have. I feel like I said this 5 years ago (minus the extension part)..... The SIU basketball game I talked to a couple of alumni in their forties who seemingly haven't been on campus in a couple decades. Our alumni donations/engagement is towards the bottom of the AAU. This is how we get alumni back on campus.
