John
Should be another good test especially after playing on Saturday. WMU is 6-4 in conference and their last four games they beat Ohio and Akron and lost to Miami and NIU. They have three players averaging 18, 12 and 11. They don’t have as big of a front line that we have been playing lately so hope we can dominate on the boards again and Fair can find her shooting touch from the outside. With home games Monday and Wednesday hope the energy of the fans can give all our players the added boost to preserve thru any fatigue with all the minutes our starters have been playing. Go Bulls!!! promotherobot
Another solid performance. Ten point lead at the half, and they pretty much kept WMU at arms length the rest of the game.
ChubbyHubby
Hemphill went down hard on one play in the second half. She seemed hampered a bit after that. I hope it's nothing that lingers.
ChubbyHubby
At one point, one of the officials went over and talked with band instructor, Jack Pryzbilski (sp?). He pointed something out, and then Jack went over and talked with someone in the student section. I wonder what was going on the an official felt the need to go say something. We played a very good last half both on offense and defense with good ball movement and very active on the defense side. The 2nd half was entirely different with too much of Fair not getting other players involved except for Woolley. We were a step slow on the defensive side allowing a lot of back door layups and lucky WMU missed several easy shots. Ball movement will still be the key especially when we play the top teams. Especially in late stages of games see Fair just keeping the ball herself and not getting any player movement from the other players. On a curious and positive note players that were dressed and back from the missing were Gaba, Young and Valenti-Paea??? Not really sure how much playing time any of them will get with so many games being close. Another positive was the band being back and a decent student showing. Hope to see more students tonight and tomorrow’s games. Go Bulls!!!
