John
Another test for us on the road and depending on the game situation how will Coach Jack distribute playing time now with more players available?? NIU is 9th in conference at 6-7 in conference. They have beaten Ohio, Akron and Kent State. They have a seasoned team with many junior/seniors. They have decent size on the front line with a player named Davis who is averaging 15 points and 11 rebounds. Not sure what happened to their top scorer Koker who was averaging 17 a game but after the first 16 games has not been in the lineup?? We beat NIU here 68-61 so do not think we will take them lightly. Go Bulls!!!
DocCas86
Attempt and giving relative performance in MAC games for the top 5 teams according to Massey.com Table shows the margin against each opponent with an attempt to adjust the score differential to a neutral court. The neutral court score differential is equal to score differential - 3.5 for a home game and score diffential + 3.5 for a road game. The color coding is dark green for normalized score differential >10, light green is between 0 and +10, peach is score diffential between 0 and -10 and red is <-10 point differential. You can see that N Illinois has played the top 5 tough - with 3-3 record. A good test on the road. What team gets hot, or can overcome hostile crowds or officials that can control the outcome by bad calls. Go Bulls!!!

Well, I guess I did all that to say the same as you...NIU will be a tough challenge that can't be taken lightly. As you say, Go Bulls! As you say, Go Bulls! A tough loss against a good NIU team with two very good players Davis and Poisson who gave us fits when they played us earlier. Another bad shooting game by Fair and close to Woolley’s worst shooting days. Along with only nine assists and only getting to the line 11 times can result in a loss. Tough to win when your two best players shoot 6-23 from 3’s but we fought and maybe ran out of gas in overtime. On to to next tough game against Ball State on the road and hope to atone for the loss at home when the Ball State coach went crazy and spastic on the officials the whole game that resulted in two no calls at the end of the game. Will the MAC and the officials put up with the same behavior from this coaching staff? Go Bulls!!!
