Chet
The assist to turnover ratio is a function of being able to make plays for others and it's taking care of the basketball. You have to do those two things. Per the stats available on the MBB page, the team has 134 assists vs. 154 turnovers. Those numbers will need to improve dramatically to have any hope this season. Chet
Today's loss featured 9 assists to 16 turnovers. Impossible to win games with those numbers.
DocCas86
You are spot on. The team regressed this game and needs to do better. Today was a poorly played game. Just about every team has one or two of these throughout the season, Bona against Canisius, Ohio vs Detroit, Toledo vs UMKC...etc etc. Time will tell if games like JMU and Tulane are more the mean for this team or games against Colgate, George Mason and St. Bonaventure are the expectation. You have six observations against good D1 ( top of MAC caliber) teams, and a 3-3 record. I will continue to hope for the best this year. Bluebird96
Fun fact: Alabama had 9 assists and 15 turnovers today. I guess that only works when you have the kind of players and coaching staff that they have.
