2.5 hour drive for Troy fans. WTF

Just realized Troy is in Alabama... Why do al these conferences have tie in bowl games that are essentially home games. Then the MAC has tie ins with Alabama and the Bahamas??? I mean Hawaii is playing in Hawaii for gods sake

I’m pretty happy with this. We all want a big name opponent but Troy has had a similarly good year. Let’s get the dub.

That’s an awesome summary. Too bad Memphis couldn’t hold on. I would expect Houston to be ranked now. They’re undefeated with a win over a ranked. Nova should be dropped. They almost lost to an 0-7 team.

Is it just scheduling issues that they can’t get someone to play at AA?

Was just looking ahead at the schedule. Not sure how many people will go to the exhibition game this week. Then the next home game is against SIU towards the end of finals week where a ton of students will prob have left campus for the holidays. After that, students don’t come back till the end of January which is about a third of the way through MAC play. Kinda sucks. I love that we have cuse and Marquette coming up to get some good tests but it’s going to be difficult to continue to be ranked until the students can be back at full force...

Yea last night really hurt and still stings pretty bad. Going to take a little bit to get over it. It’s easy to be cynical about the team because of it. But not caring about a bowl game is ridiculous. Did we all think this was the year we would win the MAC? Absolutely. But we’ve still never won a bowl game in program history. That’s a major milestone that UB has to get over ASAP. If we want to take this program to the next level that’s soooo important. With the best record in UB History and their first ever bowl game victory I think the Macc will sting a lot less. Still lots to play for and still a season to be proud of. We lost the games that really mattered but when was the last time we said UB even took care of all the games they should have won in the regular season? We NEED to continue success into next year. The fieldhouse will be built and it should help recruiting but we all want consistent winning. I would say next year is almost more important. To have another winning bowl season would be huge for this program. Tough tough tough to lose that game how it went last night...but lots to look forward to. First things first, let’s beat the hell outta whoever we play in a bowl game and end this year on a high note. 11-3 sounds pretty good to me

Yea I agree with all of this. He’s great. There’s always a feeling of comfort when he has the ball. He just knows how to score when we need it most. He’s a smart player and is always smiling. Hope this is a memorable senior season for him. It’s started off right

Not to break up the Bonnie hate because I’m all for it...but going back to the original point of the thread I’m thinking maybeee 18 but prob 19 on Monday. Bummer Texas tech pulled it out in the end. Would’ve been helpful. As I type this though Houston is up on 18 Oregon 33-13 in the first half. Anything can happen but it’s been dominant thus far. Houston is 5-0 currently and if they win will likely be ranked but I’ll take it

Seriously why do we play lemoyne now?? What are up with that scheduling? I wouldn’t call Bonnie’s on Saturday an “easy week” though even if they aren’t off to a great start. That place is going to be hard to get out of with a win no matter what.

Yea this is a huge matchup. Two undefeateds. We gotta minimize the lulls in the game. Play like we all know UB can and we are going to have a great resume builder against another good team.

Looked like he tweaked the knee at the end of the game this morning but as far as I could tell wasn’t getting medical attention on the sideline afterwards. Really hope it’s just a “tweak”

Yea I watched a good chunk of the game. Too bad UB couldn't keep it close. Still a long season ahead and they are still receiving 1 vote for top 25 so let's get back to winning ways. Playing the #3 team in the nation is great experience

I'm a little confused how this tourney works. I see we play Dartmouth and Marist at US campus sites and then it looks like everyone is guaranteed 2 games in Ireland. What I don't understand is are there 2 champions?? 1 for the Samson Bracket and 1 for the Goliath bracket? Do those 2 champions then play each other for one winner?? Side note: The home page for the tourney is a picture of Perkins dunking and it's awesome

Eh just enjoy it for now this team is still great. Us moving up was more due to some key teams losing above us. Marquette and cuse unranked but receiving votes. Would love for them to look better before we play them but all we can do is keep winning Gotra win these next two. Glad Wednesday is at home. UB takes care of business these next 2 and some teams above us lose we will continue our climb

On a different note I’m finding it really difficult to root for WVU. Their fans are so annoying while watching this WKU game.. but we need the mountaineers over hill toppers

Ohio?? What? But yea Syracuse lost to Oregon today if that’s what you meant. They’re not good but this is what happens every year. They’re great because they play 90% of their games at home and they’re great at home. We will see a totally different team when we visit the dome I’m assuming onviously it’s just as big of a game for us. Gotta get the dub

This is totally hypothetical because 1) alumni doesn’t get filled anywhere near consistently 2) there’s no way we are anywhere near having the money 3) there are way more important renovations needed (especially the football stadium) BUT do you think alumni arena could somehow be expanded at some point? I’d love for them to expand the south side and put some permanent stands. There’s definitely room outside of the building. I actually think the arena is pretty nice already and the newish video board was a massive improvement but it’s just fun to think about

So embarrassing. Defense was atrocious. I’m more worried that we have trouble with anyone with a winning record.. I know temple has one now buttt look at the rest of our opponents. Overall just trying to forget this game and move on. Let’s win the MAC east next week and end the season on a high note in our last 2 games

Agree with a lot that was said. There’s no way we move down in rank that’s for sure. I think that away win may bump us to 23 or 22 depending on what happens above us. Def don’t think 20 but I’m more than ok with slowly grinding upwards. There are only 24 spots ahead of us lol 1-2 spot changes are huge. Then when we play the cuse and Marquette it’s just opportunities for big jumps and not much to lose. That stretch of games will be brutal though Im all for moving the students back. The only nice thing is for the opponent to shoot free throws looking at the student section currently. I guess you could do overflow there though. I think we should start seeing some great crowds at alumni. Bills season is even getting closer to being over. This team keeps winning there will be more people. I do agree with the continued success though I just think you can get a pretty solid base in about 10 years of continued success. Sure 15-20 is even better but we are now 4 years deep (yea didn’t make the tourney in 1) and the 5th is starting off even better so far. Who knows what this season holds but if we keep up success of making it to the tourney 8 out of 10 years there’s gotta be a real solid following. 3 down, a start that could lead to an at large fingers crossed, and then 4 more in the following 5 years.
