  1. Pastabilities is awesome. Fagans (sp?) has decent food and a great beer selection.
  2. Faegans. Fagans. Not sur of the spelling. Good food, excellent beer selection.
  3. I gotta say, it scared me a bit when we were up 29-10. I had flash backs of a few weeks ago in Detroit.
  4. I'll be there for at least part of the game. Red is hosting my sisters and nieces for a Christmas cookie baking party early in the afternoon. Gotta get out of the house!
  5. Add the F-bomb to the list of some of the most overused words. Iconic, homophobic (almost never used for it's true meaning), literally...
  6. Yes, but, that's comparing apples to oranges. Turner never embarrassed UB. I don't know how may times I went to basketball games and came away somewhat embarrassed by Hurley's whiney antics. Don't get me wrong, he was a winner, and he brought in the guy that has us winning consistently, but...Bobby Hurley couldn't carry Turner Gill's sandals.
  7. Check out the "MobileAL" thread on this site. A guy from Mobile gives great recommendations on hotels, restaurants, night life, activities, attractions...
  8. Mobile Marriott 3101 Airport Blvd Mobile, AL 36608 251-476-6400 https://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/mobmc-mobile-marriott/?scid=bb1a189a-fec3-4d19-a255-54ba596febe2
  9. Here's a link to a presser he did a day or 2 after the announcement. He cleared some things up regarding his wife. You can see how much it hurts, but it's clear why he's good with his decision. He's an amazing man. http://www.liberty.edu/flames/index.cfm?PID=36963&newsID=21132&teamID=9
  10. We're not able to change to a downtown hotel, so we'll need to rely on hotel shuttle or some sort of other transportation. Is Uber or Lyft available?
  11. No kidding. If they tell me that the breweries are closed in Mobile, I'll stay home and work.
  12. I'm seeing Serda and Haint Blue to be a short walk from Dauphin St. I like it. Are there any areas we should "stay away" from?
  13. I'm seeing average highs for this time of year to be around 62 degrees and lows around 45. Does that sound right?
  14. Is there a Beilein that is the Coach at Niagara County Community College as well? We ran into their team at a rest stop in Milan, Ohio, on the way to Detroit on Friday afternoon.
  15. MobileBama08. Thank you so much for the info. I wish I had seen this before I spent the last 1-1/2 hours looking into Mobile. (My boss most likely wishes that too.) Tell me about Brick Pit BBQ. It's a bit further West of the team hotel where we'll be staying. I've seen it on TV and it had my mouth watering. Is it worth the visit?
  16. I agree with V-man. Great putting more faces to screen names. Red and I look forward to seeing you all again at whatever bowl game we end up in. Only sorry that we weren't able to fill that cup and drink from it after the game.
  17. Looking forward to meeting you. I'm hoping we can get over there. Red and I have assumed some responsibilities tomorrow that may keep us from heading over. We'll definitely be at the game.
  18. It absolutely would be. I've had Nexus for about 15 years now. I thought it was $75, but I'm not certain. Well worth the price. With Nexus, I believe we also have Global Entry. We don't do much travel outside the U.S. and Canada, but last Spring we went to Punta Cana and we bypassed some long lines.
  19. We usually use Sarnia - Port Huron. But then again, we're normally heading North to Mackinac. It's about an hour on 402 once you get to London. Usually not much traffic on 402. For Ford Field, I think it wouldn't matter much at all. I agree with UB85 regarding the backup on Blue Water Bridge. If you have Nexus though, I believe that would be the way to go. There's a designated Nexus lane all the way across the bridge. You can pass them like they're standing still. That's because they often are. Great view from the bridge toward the North.
