It is possible that the Bulls will have to play Miami a third time here on March 9. Normally a dangerous proposition, I think it’s safe to say the Bulls would win for the sweep.

This team has the raw athleticism to get to the next level in the CBI.

Bulls at 9-7. Probably will end up 10-8. Host a game here. Maybe win it. Maybe win one in Cleveland. That would put them at 21-13 assuming one win in Cleveland. Are they good enough to win the CBI? Surely by then they will have gelled as a team. Next year?

Bulls shooting under 40% from 2...not good. Also getting rebounded (Mballa out with 2 fouls)...not good. Toledo up by 5 against Ball St. This game is crucial.

The Bulls shot reasonably well from 3 in the Ohio game - 9 of 25 for 36%. They were great from the foul line - 18 of 22 (incidentally, they took 22 shots, which isn’t exactly the same as getting to the line 22 times. Both Mballa and Johnson were 7 for 7 with several 2 for 2s). They were almost even in rebounds. And yet they lost by 11. How, exactly? They shot horribly from inside the arc. 32.4% doesn’t get it done. I’m not saying shoot more 3s. I agree with you that they should strive to shoot in closer, get to the rim, but it didn’t work out against Ohio.

Ordinarily this works. Against Ohio it didn’t: Bulls shot under 33% from inside the arc, and were out rebounded to boot.

Bulls have shot 73.5 % from charity stripe in last 12 games. In a close game, which more often than not is the case with this team, that could be the difference.

You have to have the horses. As others have pointed out: Bulls lost a lot to graduation last year. Look on the bright side. Bulls can win Saturday.

Agreed. A big if...but IMO Mballa has already surpassed Perk as a rebounder and a defensive force.
