  1. Only problem with sr celebration after the game is you cant storm the court and let the seniors crowdsurf around ala the Watt senior day.
  2. AT OHIO #1 Plus/Minus: game (conference, season) T1) Massinburg: +11 (+197, +333) T1) McRae: +11 (+139, +248) 3) Graves: +3 (+150, +273) 4) Jordan: +2 (+187, +376) 5) Segu: 0 (-32, -18) 6) Wiliams: -1 (+10, +26) T7) Perkins: -3 (+176, +273) T7) Caruthers: -3 (+141, +208) 9) Harris: -5 (+220, +379) *One cell was off in yesterday's calculation of conference plus/minus, so the numbers are corrected here. Harris is still #1 in conference and overall, with Massinburg at #2 in conference. Jordan moves within 3 of Harris for the season lead. Overall UB is +425 on the season and +238 in conference games. Best line: "Starting lineup" Jordan - Graves - Massinburg - McRae - Harris This line started the game by going plus 6 plus/minus but after their first 4:18 shift, the line only saw the court one more time for 18 seconds, where they went 0 plus/minus and +1 corsi. In this case, Jordan's injury was probably the main reason our top line saw limited minutes. Surprising line: "Long, Strong and Wrong" Graves - Massinburg - McRae - Perkins - Segu Coming into the game this line was -13 plus/minus and -2 corsi on the season, but at Ohio, the line was +4 plus/minus and +2 corsi over 2:02 on court. Worst line: Massinburg - Harris - Perkins - Segu - Williams -3 plus minus and -3 corsi over 3:46 on court. Corsi: game 1) Graves: +4 2) Jordan: +3 3) McRae: +2 4) Wiliams: -1 T5) Harris: -3 T5) Massinburg: -3 T7) Segu: -5 T7) Perkins: -5 9) Caruthers: -7 Overall UB was -4 in Corsi for the game. Game MVP: CJ Massinburg McRae was +11 / +2 but only played 14 minutes. Harris had his 2nd best game in conference play, but his plus/minus and corsi was uncharacteristically way down. CJ played 34:11 and while he was on the court UB outscored Ohio by 11, while putting up 3 fewer shots. During the five times CJ was not on the court, a total of 5:49, Ohio outscored UB by 8 points.
  3. #11 Purdue, #13 Kansas, and #15 VaTech go down
  4. That was like racing a child, knowing you can win while jogging, but the child is right behind you and you're like i should go next gear, but you're like meh i didnt stretch so I'll just try to leg it out with this jog.
  5. I don't know if this game is poorly officiated, but it feels strangely officiated
  6. Wake up 2 at Duke last in the 1st. Ikenna Smart 6 pts, 6 boards
  7. 05 is in the past, but it still hurts.
  8. Key lineups: Jordan - Graves - Massinburg - McRae + Harris, The starting lineup was +12 plus/minus and +5 corsi over 11:22 played vs Ohio. Oats replaced Harris with Caruthers on this line for 2 minutes, and they went +6 plus/minus and +5 corsi. I'd love to see the starting lineup get UB to a huge lead again, and if Harris shot isn't falling, get Caruthers in to see if that line can continue to perform that well with extended minutes. *** Harris - Perkins - Caruthers - Williams Was another foursome that dominated vs Ohio. With Segu, the lineup went +7 plus/minus and +2 corsi over 5:48. With Graves, the lineup went +6 plus/minus and +1 corsi over 1:22. *** I think having two completely separate foursomes that played so well is why the Ohio game was the most dominate game of the year, and I'm excited to see how our lineups fare against Ohio's gameplan the second time. I think it will tell us a lot about what UB should expect in Cleveland.
  9. I was thinking the time crunch of doing major structural work between March and October would be expensive.. SMU and Houston had to play a season somewhere else... I don't know where we could play that would make sense...obviously we could go Keybank, but goodbye atmosphere. Also, Alumni has a lot of I assume load bearing columns throughout and a lot of concrete and brick...any move some walls to create space renovations would be costly. SMU spent 40 million on a reno, Houston 60 million. For 60 million we could go brand new building and practice courts... So I guess my question is if costs are the same, would you prefer to trick out Alumni (and spend a season playing at keybank) or do a fairwell season at alumni and move into a new building somewhere nearby in the Athletics area.

  13. They should put those portable bars from the Army football game in the corners
  14. sad what's happening in Ohio... all I read at BA is how the once great atmosphere has died off. How does that happen so quickly? Just wrong coach at wrong time?
  15. I don't really see any upside to renovating vs replacing, unless there is some structural or nostalgic value in keeping the bones or location of current Alumni.
  16. I'm on career University #5 and UB is far and away the best and cheapest parking school I have been at. As an always late commuter student however, you play the game between risk "looking" for a good spot close or take the far spot and walk (and then see 12 open spots closer)" As we're in the digital age, an automatic mobile spot counter would be a great solution, as I'm driving up, if I could see on my phone that my preferred lot has only a few spots open, or many spots open, I can make an informed decision that can save me minutes. Oh and I guess my commute to school at UB was 5 mins, so 10 mins looking for parking or walking to class feels like an eternity, the other 4 I probably had an hour commute at each, so 10 mins looking for parking is a write off. Finally, I've been staff at the other 4 institutions and they dont have the reserved staff lot, I want that sweet sweet reserved Faculty staff parking at UB.
  17. Being there live, it all just happened so fast, I don't remember wanting us to take a timeout, kinda wanted the clock to just bleed out and for us to escape. TBatts final shot was cold blooded and gets lost in the loss.
  18. It's incredibly sad that the Big East let themselves get destroyed, NE teams thought the move to the ACC would open them up to Florida talent, but I think the opposite has occurred, Northern talent has gone south and fueled their renaissance..leaving the Northeast schools with the scraps...which fortunately for us, has helped Buffalo compete in the northeast and now we're arguably the best school in the Northeast this year in FBS football + Basketball*. The thing I like about the AAC is it has destinations. Bills fans look forward to trips to cool destinations like Miami, New Orleans, LA etc...and UB could capture some of that if every road game wasn't in Ohio. What they lack in proximity, Houston, Dallas, Orlando, Tampa, Memphis and New Orleans are at least cool destinations. *10 Football Wins - 20 Basketball wins Club Northeast Buffalo Southeast UCF LSU Ga Southern Midwest Cincy Michigan Kentucky West Utah State Fresno Washington Watchlist Clemson (17 wins) Syracuse (19 wins) Oklahoma (18 wins) Texas (16 wins) Ohio State (18 wins) UAB (17 wins) Florida (17 wins) Alabama (17 wins)
  19. Just my picks. Last week I gout 7 of 17 picks (including UB) correct.
