  1. I'd love to be a part of the solution, I just want to know what the solution is. 16 years without an answer so far.
  2. I don't think you can sugarcoat a glaring problem. In 20 years, there hasn't been a proposed fix to the glaring problem, so even rounding up $ wont really accomplish anything... and it seems "shut up and buy tickets" has just enabled the lack of action on a stadium plan that would create actual pride vs "youre supposed to bleed blue" fake pride. On priority, ROI is important, can you sell an upgraded arena for a higher ticket price? Gonzaga found their success meant they could, they upgraded their arena, ramped up prices and gained a lot of revenue. Ultimately I think the response to this year's basketball team was slightly underwhelming, so I think we'd be better off going football stadium over Basketball...

  4. I think if the job isn't there the money has to be there. Everyone probably has a fantasy number, for most people it's probably in the 5 million so I can live off interest for the rest of my life area. I think it helps the enjoyment, the carousel is enjoying, and it makes the guys who stay even more special. I do think we haven't learned anything from this era of coaching changes... What makes a good coach? How do you find a good coach? How do you develop? How do you retain? We haven't substantially tried to answer these questions, we've just thrown money at everything (except the players) Honestly if we had more money, instead of lucking into the Detroit area HS coach we're blessed to have, we'd probably have spent big money on a name that probably wouldn't have done half the good Oats has done...
  5. NO ONE BELIEVES IN US (worked for the Patriots)
  6. They only paying 1.6 million right now Minnesota, the 9th or 10th best job in that conference, and overshadowed by WVB in the fall and hockey in the spring. Plus Wisconsin vs Minnesota rivalry. Only plus is that he could stick it to Wisconsin for not hiring him.
  7. I guess I'll wait for UB. I think it's the MAC's fault for the delay, last year the conference announced tickets for sale on 2/5/18. This year, crickets. Look for me in the section with the people with no loyalty points.
  8. SO I'm gonna fly back for the tourney, (sadly not going to make it to senior night). Tourney tickets are on sale via the Q website, since I haven't gone in a decade, should I buy from the Q or wait to whenever UB gets around to selling tickets? *Will priority points mean I"m stuck in the nosebleeds of the UB section? If so, I'd should just go via Q *Does the UB ticket office rob you via ticket fees? (The Q charges $17 in fees/ticket) Any other tips?
  9. I think this is less true at many schools, because $ you need to be transfer friendly, also it's hard to tout the necessity of residency when all your professors are adjuncts teaching at Berkeley MWF and teaching the exact same material at Contra Costa on TTR Coaches understand taking transfers and submitting waivers, I think they get it. Transfer restrictions are silly, and lawyers are getting involved, and if coaches/admins/schools/ncaa are smart, they'd just grant free transfer, instead of forcing players to air dirty laundry to get a release (like shannon kinda did).
  10. Just don't check his references and you're OK - Manhattan College
  11. I'm hoping it's a long con. In the NCAA the scouting report will be let harris shoot the 3. And he'll go on a tear and take us to the final four.
  12. I think we're playing better this year, but shooting worse. Last year at this point our true shooting percentage was 60.21%, this year it's 57.59%. This year we have taken 6 more shots, and 42 more free throws than last year's team at this point. If our TSA was at last year's level we would have scored an additional 4 points a game which would probably be enough to make us 11-0. I think some of that is just teams being charged up to play us this year, against Toledo I felt the Rockets quit before the game started, but every game after it seemed every other team came out swinging for us.
  13. Dillard misses two 3's in crunch time, and it looks like BGSU will hold on.
  14. ITS HAPPENING DOT GIF BGSU 72 - UB 71 2 mins remaining
  15. I think matchups will be important. We don't want CMU in the semis, we play pressure and sacrifice the 3 ball in order to take away the paint, and they just hit everything. I think Ohio taking out CMU, us vs Miami and a Ohio - UB final is our best scenario.
  16. Dillard and Hall just both got their 4th fouls. Down 13 14 remaining.
  17. 9-2 Ohio down 10 at Toledo 6 mins to go 8-2 Miami up 19 with 14 mins to go 8-2 Buffalo down 9 with 17 mins to go 7-3 CMU up 28 with 15 mins to go. If we comeback and Toledo holds on we'd be tied with Miami for 1st in the conference.
  18. Stopped the bleeding, still down 10, but look much better.
  19. WBK down 11 early at BGSU, Dillard 2 first quarter offensive fouls...
  20. Alton in his pregame piece said: "The Bulls have dropped to No. 25 after 14 straight weeks in the AP Top 25 poll, losing two of their last five, plus a pair of late-game escapes against Kent and Central Michigan." We took the lead for good against CMU with 15:02 remaining, we never trailed in the 2nd half against Akron. I guess those go down as late game escapes if you only look at the final score.
  21. I was upset with shot selection while watching live. The guys who were hot weren't shooting, the guys who were cold were firing away. Caruthers and CJ shot 67% and scored 1.47 points/shot. They took 15 shots combined. Jordan shot 45% and scored 1.09 points/shot. He took 11 shots alone. Graves - Harris - Perkins shot 32% and scored 0.73 points per shot. They combined for 22 shots. IDK if CJ or DC have to TAKE the game over, or if the team has to pass more to the hot hands, but I worry, that at our best EVERYONE is in on the action, and the open man shoots, but at our WORST, our opponent lets a cold guy take open shots, and he shoots us to death.
  22. I don't think we've eeked out wins, I think obviously WVU was worse than the final score, Marquette was better, USF we had control but didnt put away. NIU and BG we never pulled away and lost, the others seemed like we seized control, but then kinda just coasted to a win. Akron game felt over with 10 mins remaining, but we never threw the knock out punch. Also last night I think we were robbed by a bad backcourt call and a bad travel call late, which should have been 4 CJ FTs, which would have pushed the 6 point win that got as close to 3, to a 10 point win that never got closer than 7
