  1. Graves needs to step it up. Late close outs on D and some bad offensive decisions.
  2. Graves is just killing us. We’re minus every time he steps on the floor

  4. Gotta get something out Perkins even if it’s tenacious rebounding. Harris has been spectacular. Jordan and Caruthers outstanding. CJ needs to just take an extra second on his shot crushing too much. Great comeback.
  5. We need to get in the lane off the dribble then kick it out. Worked out tremendously in first ten minutes then hit away from it. Instead guys had their shots rejected in the lane. Take the kick out for open 3s until they stop it. Then fake the pass and go to the rack.
  6. Thanks for the report. Despite my good intentions and best efforts I just could not make it. Sounds like the atmosphere was terrific.
  7. Fun reading. Check out Syracuse fan board game thread. https://syracusefan.com/threads/buffalo-game-thread.138179/page-26 A lot of wailing and knashing of teeth.
  8. Let’s never make the mistake of not believing in or dissing this team again. They work their butt off every game. They never give up. They are grittier than the roughest piece of sand paper you’ll ever find. For some reason I just knew at half they’d win. Go Bulls!
  9. Difference is that a lot of those shots are good ones that are not dropping. Segu’s was wide open and just air balled. Same for a few others. Defense is what will win this. Perkins doing a good job. Gotta get something out of Graves.
  10. Disagree. Plus I think we’ll win. We’re tenacious.
  11. Watch Harris on D. See if you agree with me he’s a defensive liability.
  12. One thing about our guys is that you know they’ll always battle. Much respect!!
  13. This is excellent. Rochester is a Cuse town through and through. It’s great to get positive pr there. Of course with Dontay it is much deserved. And hopefully will be in time with Williams too.
  14. Nice article with good pub for UB. http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/insider/story/_/id/25560720/giant-killers-buffalo-turned-giant You need a subscription to read. But it talks about cutting down turnovers and getting more shots up as important factors after team lost to Canisius and Robert Morris a few years ago.
  15. The line reflects what the betting public will do. I would not be surprised to be a dog in this game because most will expect a Cuse win.
  16. My keys to the game: 1. Bigs must play big! 2. Rebound! Rebound! Rebound! Rebounding must be a team commitment and effort. No players (Harris) can afford to be flat footed on the defensive board and must block out and attack the boards. 3. Need an all around great game from CJ which he consistently provides. 4. DEFENSE, have to be in Cuse's shorts all night long especially the guards. 5. Beat them in transition for some easy baskets and don't let them get any. 6. Need a better team shooting effort which with sharp ball movement side to side, in and out as well as dribble drives should provide.
  17. Toledo has everyone back except Fletcher. Without him they still gave us a tough go in the MAC title game last year. We had Wes last year who was stellar in that game. I do believe the Toledo games will be very tough this year.
  18. I am definitely a “one game at a time” kind of guy. And it’s as important as ever with games at the dome and Marquette coming up, but Toledo is off to a great start too. Rocket fans thinking they are a better team this year. And this will be theirs. http://www.toledoblade.com/sports/ut/2018/12/13/Believe-it-Toledo-basketball-could-be-special-this-year/stories/20181213138
  19. SIU hung in there. I don’t know how much they improve if the get Fletcher back. But I think we beat them 49 out of 50 times. We had a ton of uncontested shots that we normally make. Harris still struggling. Only scores 4. Pretty much like the early portion of last year’s OOC schedule as of now for him. When he gets untracked, Perkins plays with intensity and CJ shakes his nagging injuries we’ll be so much better. We still have not seen a game with the possible exception of the first half against Bona where we’ve played anywhere near as well as these guys are capable. Good run for the guys today. They’ll be sharper Tuesday and again Friday with two huge road games. Segu was terrific today. Great to see the freshmen get some quality playing time. I like to watch the bench at times to see what the mood of the team is. Segu is always into game and supporting his teammates on the floor. He has leader written all over him. He even got Williams into it as well. It may seem an insignificant observation. But these little things give a good indication of the team’s chemistry which is so vital to success. Let’s go! Beat Cuse!! Go Bulls!
  20. White is a Syracuse dude through and through. He’s always talking about them. Just like what used to PO Bill Greiner local people and students walking around with those gawd awful orange paraphanalia
  21. More Coming to the @UBmenshoops game tomorrow afternoon? We are expecting a large crowd. Be sure to arrive early so you have plenty of time to park, get your tickets scanned and be in your seats before the 2pm tip-off! Alumni Arena doors open at 1pm! #UBhornsUP – at Alumni Arena
  22. Can't even get them to play us at their place. Sad!
  23. There are very few coaches ahead of Nate that I would take over him. Coach K and that might be it. Hurley at 63? Nate has done more with less than Bobby.
