  1. We just won a game by 23 after shooting 15% from three. That is crazy,
  2. Yes it does, but the recruiters aren’t the ones who are linking CJ and Nate. It is commentators and fans. I’m not saying they should be linked. You said you don’t get the reason why people do it. I said that is my best guess why.
  3. I was pointing out why people link them, it has nothing to do with position. It is because they are in the same class, Nate decommitted from Buffalo, and CJ committed shortly after.
  4. My guess would be that the others were currently players or transfers. Naviagato was going to be an incoming freshman, so that is why people linked them.
  5. Correct me if I am wrong but I read that we have 6 scholarship offers out right now Noah Williams, Tujautae Williams, Raymond Hawkins, Tajzmel Sherman, Quenton Jackson, and AJ Bramah. Given that we have 5 seniors leaving and 3 commits, I would assume we only have 2 open roster spots. How does this work with the offers? Do they just make many offers and it is a first come first serve based on who accepts first?
  6. I think he is just a quiet guy. I’m pretty sure Oats called him a “Silent Killer”. I also watched the Ohio post game press conference and he seemed a little uncomfortable. Regardless, I am excited to see what he will become in the next couple of years.
  7. I think Graves is going to be a star next year. We are losing a lot of scoring and I think he will be our #1 option.
  8. I agree. I don't understand the hate for Danny White. He hired some of the best coaches this school has ever seen, tried his best to market the school, and overall was a very successful AD here. He left the athletics programs in a better place than when he got here, and that is all you can really ask for.
  9. I wonder if we could replace the behind the basket bleachers to temporarily increase capacity. It seems to me that the aisles are very wide compared to other bleachers. When you look at the rows of students, they look very thin compared to other arenas IMO.
  10. Not to get too off topic. But the article mentions Antwain Johnson in practice, has anyone heard about how the transfers are looking? I remember when Wes Clark was practicing with the team we heard about how good he was.
  11. http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/25953759/nate-oats-buffalo-want-do-more-ruin-your-bracket-again Another article focused on Oats.
  12. Yeah I think the only one who will give him any competition is Javon McCrea. CJ is the best player on a UB team that has been ranked for 14 weeks. Yes he has a lot of talent around him, but he has been the most efficient, consistent, and clutch on the team this year.
  13. http://www.tankathon.com/big_board CJ has officially made it into the top 60 of the tankathon big board.
  14. Less touchdown drive on his first drive. A a couple of great throws and a run.
  15. I was listening to the Locked on Giants podcast where they were previewing the senior bowl and talking about the practices this week. They had Emory Hunt on who said he thinks Tyree has been the best QB there. Hopefully NFL teams feel the same.
  16. I have a feeling he is going to make a big jump next year. It's good to see the freshman contributing in close conference games.
  17. While looking up some of the players I was voting on, I realized something. We finally are above .500 as a program and don't look like we will be dropping below anytime soon! https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/schools/buffalo/
  18. We need to practice FTs. It was the difference today.
  19. https://www.mlive.com/sports/ann-arbor/2019/01/michigan-duo-fueling-the-rise-of-buffalos-basketball-program.html Pretty cool article featuring Oats and Perkins. It mentions how 4 or 5 NBA teams have come to watch practices. I'm hoping CJ, Harris, and Perkins can make the summer league this year.
  20. UB > Kansas and Duke. Confirmed.
  21. I think if Oats stays here after this year, then he will be here for a while. He has a large number of seniors who are graduating so it will be hard to repeat this success in the future. He will most likely get some big offers, so this would be the most opportune time for him to leave. If he stays I think he is truly committed to building UB into a consistent contender. If he values job security he should stay at UB. He makes plenty of money and barring a scandal, it would require many years of losing seasons to get fired.
  22. https://theathletic.com/762393/2019/01/16/nate-oats-future-is-tbd-but-the-buffalo-coachs-present-is-pretty-great/?campaign_type=branded-content&campaign_id=BrianHamilton&source=fbadsbc&fbclid=IwAR0MQ-Uk304Fz2KKItJkRTpl1rwjxOqgWQmrIUPsw3Fx7vcNEX9SafzEEFQ Anyone have a subscription to the athletic?
  23. The largest student section in the country is 7,800 at Indiana, absolutely no shot we get 10k students. Let's just focus on filling up our student section and having them all make some noise.
  24. While this wasn't a fun game to watch, I think it will be good for our team. Call me crazy but I don't want to blow every team out by 30 points. It is good to have the team experience close games throughout the year. We will learn more from games like this than blowouts, also will help us keep us on our toes. That being said, I still would like to win big for a majority of the games.
  25. 10k students is a stretch in my opinion. Usually there isn't even over 1000 there.
