  1. Okay, if there was 5 fouls this game, UB would not be winning the game. I don't know what else to tell you.
  2. UB has had their opportunities. They missed shots, turned the ball over, and missed free throws. Blaming the refs that they're down is lame.
  3. Worst shooting first half of the season by far. Forget about the refs, UB has to adjust. Losing to NIU would kill us.
  4. The users of Reddit have is at #11. We were #12 Last week.
  5. #11 Florida State lost against a bad unranked Boston College. Another good upset for us.
  6. THANK YOU. There are a select few on these forums who keep preaching "we have not seen a complete game from UB yet". Especially after we won by 30 against Toledo and won by 24 against Miami(OH). It's ridiculous and the spoiled aspect is starting show. We as fans need to remember what we have right now and to evaluate things they're saying.
  7. 4-0 in conference play. Keep it going. Winning is all that matters. Either which way you look at it, the W is all that matters.
  8. Most likely because of Lamonte Bearden.
  9. Because KBC is essentially the place that would unite WNY into college basketball as a whole. The idea of holding it at KBC does make sense, but, UB basketball is some years away from fulfilling the idea. In the future, if UB has the same type of success they are having this season, then, it's possible, and the community would most likely jump on the bandwagon. If UB can pack Alumni every single game, and I mean pack the arena full, then flirting with the idea of larger capacity neutral site game is certainly not out of the realm of possibility. On top of it, we would need the Pegula's to endorse the hell out of it for it to really work. Making such a tournament/neutral site game(s) as accessible as possible for students, as well as fans and spectators would be absolutely crucial. I think if WNY were to start being serious into college basketball, games at KBC would be a ginormous help for culture building in the area, and well as building culture amongst the students.
  10. https://buffalonews.com/2019/01/12/buffalo-mens-basketball-miami-ohio-mac/ "Oats said Perkins won’t practice Sunday, but he expects Perkins to play Tuesday at Western Michigan."
  11. Oh I know it, I love when games are on ESPN+ But, part of me really enjoys these national TV games just for the exposure aspect. Gives people across the country a glimpse of the team and gives perspective as to why we're a top 20 team. I'll gladly sacrifice the luxury of not watching the replay for exposure.
  12. The folks on Reddit have us at #12 this week.
  13. It speaks volume's that Jon Rothstein has us at #15 this week. Usually we're a bit lower on his list. But I could see us at #15-16 this week as well.
  14. Ball State. Despite them losing to EMU, on paper, I think Ball State has the second best/talented roster in the MAC. And they should pose quite the challenge this season, and may be out for blood for "upsetting" them last season.
  15. This would be a neat idea. I think Alnutt and the university should sell the idea to the Pegula's and devise a Big 4/Big 4 related college tournament in the arena, bring in some other New York schools maybe, or bring in teams from the north east region. It would certainly help build college basketball culture here. As of right now, there are 22 D-1 basketball schools in NYS. The battle of NY. Something along those lines.
  16. I think this article is relatively fair. But, I would think our recruiting base might be a little better than 10th though. Either way, this was a really cool, unbiased piece by Goodman. A guy who is actually high on Buffalo and praises the team.
  17. Javion Hamlet at #19 and James Reese at #31. Good on them. I hope they both get signed to a good school and get to compete.
  18. He looks like a deer a dear trying to find his legs. But he has shown his athletic ability in games this season and I have faith that next year he will be much better. Him and Rondo.
  19. I feel like a game at 9pm is worse than a game at noon and we did fine for EMU and I think the time for this team is irrelevant. They'll be ready to rock and roll.
  20. After that Marquette game last night, suddenly, it's really clear, Markus Howard might be the best guard in the country. And now I feel a tiny bit better losing to them. Howard is one insane shooter, a Steph Curry type shooter.
  21. Has some really good offers from schools like Texas Tech, Depaul, Minnesota, and New Mexico as well. Looks like he could be filling a 2-3 position/wing type role.
  22. Yes she is. And she's been coming off the bench averaging 15 minutes a game. I think she may be hurt because she's missed the last 2 games.
  23. This is going to help us by the end of the week if teams keep losing and if we beat Miami. Could not ask for a better night for upsets elsewhere and a 30 point victory over Toledo.
