  1. You are right on the money. These refs for the women’s games are the worst bunch of refs I have seen but the one thing they have been the last few years is consistent. Like I have stated more times than I can count. There is no accountability and why the MAC AD’s and power to be’s can’t do something about it makes no sense at all. On to Cleveland and looking for a win on Wed. Go Bulls!!!!!
  2. Great observations as usual!! Another great night and more milestones. The crowd was great and you could tell the team fed off the crowd by the start of the game. It seemed they lost some of their energy the last few minutes of the half and the first few minutes of the 2nd half. In quite a few of games when the score gets close in the 2nd half we are able to make the plays to win the game. Probably a combination of senior leadership and this team being in big, important games these last few years. A great tribute to all these players and coaches. Do agree Williams seemed to be more involved and had great energy. What turned the game in our favor was the defense intensity led by Dontay. Even when they have a lull on the offense their defense always seems to come thru. Thanks to these seniors for all the great memories and with more to come. Go Bulls!!!!
  3. Thanks for your insight and encouragement. We continue to Bullieve and support our programs and teams. Go Bulls!!!!!
  4. I do understand the thought process. I still do believe that money is not everything in life. It is not like Nate is making a couple hundred thousand with possible raises in the future. But in today’s world is money the be all and end all of everything. Somewhere happiness in life should count. Our family continue to Bullieve and will continue to support our teams. Go Bulls!!!
  5. Great time indeed. More fans joining the site!!! Welcome to UB hysteria and mania. Go Bulls!!!!!
  6. Again unfortunately That is the way the NCAA selection criteria is set up and I and there are many sports media and average fans that still do not agree with the system. For a team or teams that are in power conferences or top conferences that have losing records in conference or even closer to 500 records that make the tourney is ludicrous. I listened to a sports show the other day when the panel had this insight. If you are in a power conference and you don’t finish at least 500 in conference or over that you should not be in the tourney. They agreed that would help some of the better quality teams in the lower conferences and some mid major quality teams to have a chance to make the tourney. I still think it is ludicrous for teams that are like 5-12 in conference to be in the tourney and because they have better quality losses. Just does not make any sense at all. UB just has to take care of business on Friday and in Cleveland. Go Bulls!!!!!
  7. Thanks for your comments. A lot of the passionate fans comments are based not on any facts or some insider information we know but just like me I want him to stay because of what Nate has meant to the program and what it has done for the UB family and fans. I just can’t see him leaving and go to a team that his in shambles and in a conference where the team has a bad record with little chance of competing against the big boys. There are coaches all over the country that have taken other jobs and after 3/5 years of failure have lost their jobs and have to start all over again. I know it can come down to the money but in Nate’s own words it has to be the right fit. Go Bulls!!!!
  8. We will never know that if Summer had played from the start of the year that maybe some of the above stats would be in Summer’s favor. In most cases the POTY comes from the team that is the most successful and is the top team in a conference. Ciera certainly should be in the running and has all the stats befitting for the POTY. It is just another one of these exciting years that has brought joy and everlasting memories to the UB faithful. Go Bulls!!!!
  9. We don’t know what Nate’s and family thoughts are and it is truly speculation on what jobs might become available. I think if Mark Alnutt shows him how important he is here by giving him another bump in salary I think he will stay. Just based on what Nate has said in many interviews that if UB shows a commitment to keeping all this momentum going He wants to stay. There is a lot behind some of the things that Nate has said. With all the recruits he has coming in and the recruits he is still trying to sign I still think he wants to stay. Again we just have to enjoy this ride and hope this run continues. Go Bulls!!!!
  10. Heard also that Noah Williams a 6’3 point guard from Seattle, WA will also be visiting. What a great time to have two possible recruits here. A sold out game where we can set a record for wins and with senior night festivities. Looking forward to a big win and a great send off for our seniors. Go Bulls!!!!!
  11. Had to go back into the archives/record book. Here are the stats: Sam Pellom 74-78 - 1297 rebounds all time leader Curtis Blackmore 70-73 - 1175 rebounds Javon McCrea 10-14 - 988 rebounds I do agree there really is no right or wrong choice. All four are very deserving and are True Blue first class basketball players. Go Bulls!!!!
  12. Some of us are at the Radisson Gateway and some of us are at the Comfort Inn. Hopefully the UB faithful can take over the downtown Cleveland area. Go Bulls!!!!
  13. Very good commentary on all points. With all the success we have had these last few years I think there has been more positive accolades given to the entire team and deserveably so. All of us as individuals look at things in a different perspective and that is not to say our opinions are right or wrong. If you are a passionate fan and have been a suppporter of UB athletics sometimes we might take it personally. I look at this like we are all in this together and are on the same team. Let’s continue the passion and support of our teams. Go Bulls!!!!
  14. 100% agree. This has been one fantastic ride since Hurley, Oats and Jack were hired. It has been building momentum and continues on the path of success. To think of the women’s team where a number of years ago they woluld get only in the hundreds for games and now it is in the 1,000’s, The men’s team when you would get around the 3,000’s and thought that was good. Now sellouts and fans going bonkers and talking proud and wearing their excitement on their sleeves. Thank you to all these seniors and hope for continued success in whatever the future has in store for you. You will be forever part of the UB family. Go Bulls!!!!!
  15. Read where a UB win against BG or Toldeo loss UB will clinch the 4th seed. I know we beat Toledo this year so I hope we are getting the right information.Hope to see another 3,000 + at tonight’s women against Bowling Green. Go Bulls!!!!
  16. As a passionate fan and supporter for UB athletics for some 30 years some of the negative comments can be taken too personally. That is what college sports and sports in general are about. Talking about some of the negative plays but also talking about all the positive, good plays. You should be able to do both. That does not make you a bad fan or supporter. Our family have been proud supporters of UB athletics probably longer than some of you have been alive. We have shouted from the roof tops for more support from fans and students alike and will continue to do that. We are talking proud and the majority of comments on this venue show the passion for our teams. We will applaud the positive vibes and criticize the negatives as we do in life in general. Go Bulls!!!!!
  17. Do agree. The facts are the facts. The fact is that not all high school players that are highly touted turn into good D1 players. For as many that make it more do not and it is based on many factors. The other players on the team, team chemistry, good coaches, the conferences they are in, some players have a harder time adjusting to college life. Our family still continue to have faith in all the players this coaching staff brings in. Looking forward to a great win on Friday and a great senior day celebration. Go Bulls!!!!!
  18. It would be great if almost the entire crowd stayed after the game for the thank you send off. Our family was at the senior day for the women last Sat and with a great crowd of 3,500 roughly 2,000 or so stayed. The women played maybe one of their best games all year against a very good Miami team so it was a double celebration. Need that for the men on FrI day. Go Bulls!!!!
  19. I caught a little of the Duke game tonight. Guess who is playing on the Wake Forest team??? You guessed it - Ikenna Smart. A last from the past. Go Bulls!!!!
  20. I am not complaining so much as observing the game of basketball. Our family have been involved in basketball in many levels thru our lifetime and we love the college game. On Segu and Williams maybe in many eyes they have been overhyped. Watching all the tapes of Segu and with Williams being a 4 star recruit maybe our expectations are too high. I still have faith that there will be improvement next year. I hope the entire team comes out against Bowling Green and puts on a show for all the fans and we cap it off with the most wins and show our appreciation to all the seniors. Go Bulls!!!!
  21. Segu has tried that move in most of the games this year and you are right I don’t think it has worked yet. On Williams I am not sure about him even for next year. You can be a big star in high school because you can be so much better physically than most of the players. Just by how he plays on defense he did not have to play defense in high school. I am not sure he has a high basketball IQ. This off season will tell a lot for next year. Go Bulls!!!!
  22. Agree with Caruthers in a big time funk. He tries to drive thru more than one player and has been out of control. He shows his frustration and it is affecting his defensive intensity and he is committing stupid fouls. The coaches have to be seeing what we are seeing. Hope Jordan does not have a concussion?? Go Bulls!!!!
  23. Do agree it is not totally because of the selection committee. It is the NCAA”s criteria they set up for the selection committee that favors all the power 5 conferences and the bigger conferences. Life is not fair and I just have to get off this topic for my own sanity. Go Bulls!!!!!
  24. I understand. The crappy p5 teams will continue to get richer because of the conference they are in. It is my choice to not watch a lot of power 5 teams that are not good teams. Do agree that is just how the jaded system is set up and I just have to get off this topic for my own sanity. Will enjoy our ride and Go Bulls!!!!
  25. Thanks for the information. I wonder how they are selected and who does the selection of who is on the committee???? Go Bulls!!!!
