  1. You think UB was interviewing replacements for Mo before Alabama even played Michigan in the semifinal? Since you're the most identity-obsessed poster here, care to give your review of Mo's time here? Or does that not fit your narrative?
  2. I know you fixed it, but conceded works too. All too often that's what it felt like our offense did when we fell behind. ๐Ÿ˜…
  3. "Unless something has changed since 2006..." is an unintentionally hilarious phrase.
  4. Figured you'd nitpick that instead of addressing your rage at the Bisons famous playoff drought. $15 to watch professional athletes play in a beautiful setting is fine.
  5. Maybe direct your complaints about organizational resource distribution and AAA roster construction to the Indians, Mets, and Blue Jays front offices? The Bisons are a glorified public park downtown and are a fun summer cultural institution. And it's great.
  6. Take the opportunity now before you get fired next year and it isn't there... This is only about money in the sense that Mo is trying to preserve some future ability to become a P5 HC, which was not going to happen with the resumรฉ he was building here.
  7. Better than a post every 700 days! Welcome back, interesting time to talk UB sports for sure. I hope we don't need any NIL for these freshmen because we don't have any. We should be able to hold Sabol but Boldin is doubtful imo.
  8. This must be a very important post because 8 posts in 19 years is legendary.
  9. This ain't about money. It's about saving face and reattaching himself to a successful brand, which was his entire career strategy before UB.
  10. Answer: a coach whose entire resume is built on very short stints and horizonal moves before his bosses can figure out he's a charlatan. This is him retreating and trying to keep his career afloat after laying an egg in three years as a HC. Good riddance Mo. Excited to never hear you attempt to form sentences in real time as you're speaking. Bring in an intelligent, organized, winning FCS/D2/D3 guy with ANY semblance of a modern college offense. Maybe one of the guys who kicked Mo's ass in our buy games with half our talent. I don't care if a coach can recruit the P5 scraps like Mo if his gameplans, coaches, and in-game coaching are awful.
  11. Great news. He seems like a high upside recruit. And the Toronto pipeline we've been begging for is open - keeping close ties to Fort Erie International Academy.
  12. Toledo pride https://nypost.com/2024/01/12/sports/ex-wizards-guard-ryan-rollins-accused-of-shoplifting-from-target/
  13. These days if a game thread gets posted before warm-ups, it's an accomplishment ๐Ÿ˜‚ Appreciate it
  14. That's way too clever and damning a nickname to be deployed yet. However, next year at this time I may be stealing it if things remain the same. We don't have the requisite talent to compete at this level. The freshmen are decent and the returning JW guys are decent. There's a missing middle of playable, experienced transfers that GH3 failed to supplement the roster with. At minimum grad transfer PG and a Maceo Jack-style wing shooter.
  15. If he doesn't start, that could be viewed as a major indictment of Mo and Co rolling him out at our starter for two years.
  16. Hope the surgery and recovery are going well Dave! See you soon hopefully.
  17. Energy shift after that sequence of dunks and blocks. Gotta simplify and get back to our game here.
  18. Sabol needs more shots. Do not understand the stagnant offense not running him off screens. They're playing hard, but they need to keep finding offense or it's going to get away.
  19. I'll be in the building after skipping Bona and Niagara (shame, I know). Looking forward to this one. Sabol should take 10 threes and if four go in, I like our chances. Western's outside shooting seems dangerous like Central's did and I don't think we can count on another 0-17 start from deep.
  20. I dropped a note in the suggestion box that they get Alumni Arena staffers involved in leading that cheer on court for us, so hopefully it has a little extra energy next time we do it. ๐Ÿ˜
  21. That's a big improvement. I dig the the split colors, not sure I've seen that before.
  22. Not really new news from what Doc posted, but just some content.
  23. Looks like the staff offered Nikita Tyukalo before Christmas, the first D1 school to do so. He's a 6'7 SG/wing from Seattle. He plays for a "prep school" that was created to let kids play outside of covid regulations, but as far as I can tell it's not even a school just a hoops team. He has a sophomore teammate ranked top 50 in his class, so there are eyes on his team. Followed by Presutti on X. Seems like a good outside shooter with some handles, bounce, and energy on D. Staff is going after some tall shooting wings based on this and Brayden Jackson's recruitment.
